Dajingmen, this ancient city gate standing tall in Zhangjiakou, has witnessed the prosperity of the Silk Road and the vicissitudes of the frontier. Its tall, thick walls are etched with traces of history, and every brick seems to tell the stories of the past.
Walking beneath the gate, recalling the bustling scene of merchants and travelers in the past, a sense of respect arises in my heart. Today, Dajingmen is no longer a barrier to war, but a bridge connecting the past and the present. At sunset, the gate's silhouette casts a shadow on the ground, its weight and age tinged with a touch of romance. Dajingmen is the soul of Zhangjiakou, a long song frozen in time.
