Uesugi Shrine
A shrine dedicated to Uesugi Kenshin, located in Matsusaki Park at the ruins of Yonezawa Castle.
The grounds include Keishoden, a registered tangible cultural property, which houses a wide variety of relics, including paintings, calligraphy, ancient documents, swords, armor, weapons, Buddhist vessels, lacquerware, and clothing from the Heian to Meiji periods, mainly belonging to Uesugi Kenshin. There is a fee to view the shrine.
