Yosemite National Park, California

#holidayitinerary

Yosemite is pure alpine grandeur. It's a place of towering granite monoliths, cascading waterfalls, and serene meadows. Arriving in the valley feels like entering a natural cathedral, with El Capitan and Half Dome standing as silent sentinels. I visited in the spring, and the waterfalls were absolutely roaring—Yosemite Falls was a thunderous spectacle, and the Mist Trail up to Vernal Fall was a drenching, exhilarating climb. It’s hard to believe so much dramatic scenery is packed into one valley. Beyond the famous sights, the best memories are the small moments: a deer grazing in a meadow at dusk, the smell of pine on a quiet trail, or watching the famous "firefall" phenomenon on Horsetail Fall in February. Be prepared for crowds, but also be prepared to be completely awestruck.
