Sheng'an Temple, located in the southern suburbs of Yueyang City, about 3 kilometers away from the urban area, is a temple with a long history in Yueyang.

It was first built in the early Tang Dynasty (between 716 and 760 AD) and was originally the residence of the eminent monk Wu Xing Da Shang. Prime Minister Yang Yan often visited Sheng'an Temple. Yang Ping, the prefect of Jingzhao, donated a huge amount of money for its construction.
Liu Zongyuan, a famous essayist in the Tang Dynasty, wrote the inscription "The Back of the Stele" for Sheng'an Temple, recording the life of Master Wusuren.
An ancient temple worth visiting, overlooking Dongting Lake.
It is best to go on a sunny day for better visibility.
