Best Day Trip to Yufuin Onsen

Yufuin is really a great place to relax, no wonder it is a favorite hot spring resort for both Japanese and Chinese. If you are not staying in a hot spring hotel, you can go to the spa for day, but not every hotel provides day spas, and not all hotels have open-air views.
I chose the Sansuikan Onsen Hotel in Yufuin. The highlight of this hot spring hotel is that it has a semi-open-air hot spring from which you can overlook the scenery of Mount Yufu in the distance, and it is super beautiful... Because it is about 8 minutes walk from the station, it is very convenient. I recommend it to people who don’t have accommodation to come and take a bath. I bought a ticket from the self-service machine and the bathing fee was 1,000 yen, which was not cheap, but I felt it was worth it. There are 4 indoor pools + 2 outdoor pools, and a sauna for male guests. The open-air pool has a nice view, and the changing rooms are well-equipped with everything you need for hair, body and face painting.
Take a dip in the open-air hot spring first, it will be very comfortable and your trip to Yufuin will not be in vain!
