Weekends are always too short to stay idle, so we decided to explore this time. We chose Yuhuan Jishan Island, a secluded island getaway in Taizhou. Three years ago, we took a day trip around the island with our kids, but this time we’re staying overnight to experience island life like locals!

**Day 1**
🚗 After arriving on the island, the homestay shuttle awaits at the pier to take you to check-in. Rest in your room for a bit—the courtyard is so photogenic, every shot is Instagram-worthy.

Kids’ paradise unleashed! Cloud trampoline + jungle zipline, an oversized outdoor slide, and climbing facilities—let the little ones play freely (though parents should stay close for safety).

Beachcombing at low tide! Just a 3-minute walk from the homestay, the beach is perfect for treasure hunting. Check the tide schedule for the best time!

🌇 From your courtyard, admire the distant lighthouse, chase the sunset, gaze at the uninhabited islet across the water, and soak in the golden twilight.

**Day 2**
🍚 Wake up naturally and enjoy a simple yet delicious island-style breakfast at the homestay.

📸 Head out to explore the 60-acre golden daylily fields, then try DIY seashell wind chimes at the Haiyu Island Bookstore.

Outdoor pool party! The homestay provides water guns and floating balls for the kids to splash around.

🚢 Hidden island-hopping option: Take an early boat → Dalü Island (30 min): Hike through the "sea forest" and discover hidden rock carvings like "Seal Watching the Waves."
