Baisha Ancient Town, the birthplace of the Mu Tusi clan and a component of the Lijiang Old Town UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located approximately 10 kilometers north of Lijiang City. It borders Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the north, Dragon Spring to the south, and Zhishan to the west. Historically, Baisha Village was the birthplace of the Mu Tusi clan, the largest clan in Lijiang, and the earliest settlement of the Naxi people in the Lijiang Basin.
Best Time to Visit Baisha Ancient Town: April to October offers stunning scenery. From March to August, a variety of flowers are in full bloom, and this year's sea of flowers around Baisha Ancient Town is particularly breathtaking. Summer is the hottest season, but it's also the rainy season. Autumn offers pleasant temperatures, with clear skies and vibrantly colored trees and flowers. Winter is relatively cool, with many sunny days and nights sometimes dropping as low as -5°C. Meals in the ancient town typically cost around 30-40 yuan, with better restaurants typically costing over 60 yuan.
Travel to Baisha Ancient Town: Bus: Take bus No. 6 from Red Sun Square in Dayan Ancient Town and get off at Baisha. Cycling: Cycling from Dayan Ancient Town to Baisha Ancient Town is a scenic 12-kilometer journey.
