The Majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang is considered one of the closest snow-capped mountains to Thailand. It takes only a 2-hour flight from Thailand to reach this stunning destination. The highest peak of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain stands at an impressive altitude of 4,680 meters.

To ascend via the Yulong Cable Car, also known as the large cable car, visitors must first take a shuttle bus from the entrance. Before boarding the bus, you’ll need to pass through a baggage scan and ticket check. Note that entry is based on the time specified on your ticket, and during holidays, you may have to wait in line for quite a while.

Once on the shuttle bus, it will take you to the large cable car station. Each cable car accommodates up to 8 passengers, and the ride is relatively quick. However, if you wish to reach the highest point, you’ll need to continue walking along the designated path. The final stretch of the trail is slightly steep.
