One of the most spectacular and thrilling canyons in the world 🇨🇳, this sheer cliff face contrasts with the raging Yangtze River 🌊✨. Located where the river flows between the 5,596-meter-high Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the 5,396-meter-high Haba Snow Mountain, the gorge is a rapid riverbed beneath 2,000-meter-high cliffs. Legend has it that a tiger escaped a hunter by leaping across the river at its narrowest point (25 meters wide), hence the gorge's name. Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest river canyons in the world. Escalators are available for 100 yuan each way up and down.
