The Qing Dynasty granary that breathes, the ancients were so clever!

In the Yanhu District of Yuncheng, there is a Qing Dynasty "central enterprise granary" — Jiexiu Tongshanyi Granary. Built in 1880 by Daotai Yan Naijue, it’s not just an ordinary old house, but a genuine national grain reserve warehouse! (Now a nationally protected site)
Three must-see hardcore designs:
1️⃣ Fortress-level walls: 1.5 meters wide at the base tapering to 0.6 meters at the top; the higher the grain pile, the more stable the wall, the entire trapezoidal structure is as steady as Mount Tai
2️⃣ Three-dimensional moisture-proof system: elevated wooden floor underground + iron mesh ventilation openings at the wall base + roof ventilation windows, three tricks to prevent rodents and mold
3️⃣ Intelligent loading and unloading doors: double-layer door panels with slots, stacking higher when loading grain, and the lower layer opens the gate for self-flow when unloading
On site, you can find the Qing Dynasty "Daoxian Zawen" stele inscription, recording how the granary allocated relief grain to eleven counties back then. The backyard also hides the Granary God Temple dedicated to the Grain God, though unfortunately the statue has been destroyed.
Navigation: Jiexiu Village, Jiexiu Town, Yanhu District, Yuncheng
🚗 Recommended to drive, half an hour direct from the city center
✨ Real experience: Standing inside the 62-meter-long granary, touching the wedge-shaped brick walls, you instantly understand the ancient saying "Food is the heaven of the people"
