Sanqing Mountain is the true divine-level scenic spot! Even more stunning than Huangshan

🌟 Sanqing Mountain: The "Number One Wonder of the Southern Heavens" even more ethereal than Huangshan!
📜 The Taoist charm and immortal traces in the mist
Hidden among the mountains of Shangrao, Jiangxi, is an "open-air Taoist museum" that amazed even Xu Xiake—Sanqing Mountain. The strange peaks and rocks here tell stories: Yujing Peak, left behind when Nüwa mended the sky; Ziyan Rock, where Ge Hong refined elixirs; the giant python emerging from the mountain where Zhang Sanfeng meditated... 1,600 years ago, Ge Hong of the Eastern Jin built a hut here to refine elixirs, blending the mystique of "Tao follows nature" with the granite peak forest, even the mist carries an immortal aura.

🏔️ Three must-visit celestial wonders
1️⃣ Eastern Goddess Peak
Legend says this is the incarnation of the beloved daughter of the Queen Mother of the West. The 87-meter-high granite peak wears a flowing cloud scarf, and the morning glow paints her with golden makeup. When you encounter the sea of clouds at the Goddess Viewing Platform, it truly feels like a dream scene of "an immortal caressing my head."

2️⃣ Giant Python Emerging from the Mountain
The 128-meter snake-shaped stone pillar pierces through the clouds. Geologists say it is a masterpiece of volcanic activity from 120 million years ago, but local villagers firmly believe it is the demon python subdued by Zhang Sanfeng. The most breathtaking view is from the Jinsha Cableway, as if the giant python is about to soar into the sky at any moment.

3️⃣ Sanqing Palace Ancient Architecture Complex
Founded during the Ming Dynasty's Jingtai era, this is the ancestral Taoist temple. The purple smoke stone still bears the remains of Ge Hong’s elixir furnace. Highly recommended to visit the Morning Bell Pavilion at dawn; when the thin mist drifts over the Bagua carved on the Lingxing Gate, you will instantly understand what "unity of heaven and man" means.

💡 My exclusive tips
• To see the cloud waterfall, stay on the mountain! During the rhododendron sea season in May, start from Rishang Mountain Villa at 4 a.m., and in half an hour you can own the entire sea of glistening light
• The 4.6 km West Coast plank road is flat all the way, perfect for elders to easily get the "walking on clouds" photo
• The last scenic area shuttle bus is at 5:30 p.m., but cableway queues start an hour before it closes

Standing atop Yujing Peak at 1,819.9 meters above sea level, I suddenly understood the Sanqing Taoists’ saying "seeing the mountain is not the mountain." The granite here changes color with dawn and dusk, sometimes emerald, sometimes gilded. No wonder even geologists call it "the most beautiful granite on the Pacific coast." On the way down, don’t miss the Rainbow Ancient Trail along Jinsha Creek, where the moss-covered stone steps still bear the footprints of ancient herbal gatherers’ straw sandals✨
