A ski resort just over an hour from Tokyo, you can easily get there by Shinkansen.
With the JR EAST PASS, you can get there by train. Once you get there, the train station is directly connected to the ski resort.

You can go here empty-handed with your ski gear. If you didn't bring your ski gear or equipment, they have a full range of services. Importantly, if you're Thai, there are Thais there to pick you up and provide service. It's great.

And if you rent equipment or ski gear to go up to the slopes, you can store your personal belongings in the lockers.

Note: If you don't ski, you can take the gondola up to the top floor. It's really nice and relaxing.
