[Okinawa Zamami Island] Island hopping on Zamami Island 🌺 Walking through the village

Okinawa, Kerama Islands
🌺Zamami Island🌺
Okinawan-style white-walled, white-roofed houses peek out from between the windbreak trees🌺
Shisa with various expressions can be seen everywhere🌺
The big banyan tree near Zamami Port! A place of relaxation for the islanders✨
The Kerama Islands, including 120ha of the ocean area west of Tokashiki Island and 233ha of the ocean area including the uninhabited islands between Zamami Island and Aka Island, are registered under the Ramsar Convention under the name of the Kerama Islands Ocean Area✨
In addition, on March 5, 2014, the islands and the surrounding ocean area were designated as the Kerama Islands National Park, nurturing such beautiful ocean and nature🌊✨🌺

The bronze statue of the dog is based on the true story of the movie "I Want to Meet Marilyn", in which Shiro, a male dog on Aka Island across the island, swam across the fast-flowing ocean to meet Marilyn, a female dog kept on the island. A statue of Marilyn has been installed on Zamami Island.
