I saw the remains of an earthquake that happened more than 350 years ago at Xiong'er Mountain.

Xiong'er Mountain⛰️ is a national geopark located in Shanting District, Zaozhuang City, with an altitude of 483 meters. The mountain is surrounded by rolling hills, steep cliffs, and lush vegetation, making it a masterpiece of nature❗

Incredibly, the remains of the Tancheng Earthquake that happened more than 350 years ago are still preserved here. On July 25, 1668, a magnitude 8.5 earthquake struck the area around Tancheng and Juxian in Shandong Province, causing widespread damage and heavy casualties. Maozhai Village at the foot of Xiong'er Mountain was almost wiped out, and the ancient stone mill used by the villagers at that time has become a relic that has been preserved to this day.

In addition, you can also see the Shuanglong Grand Canyon at Xiong'er Mountain⛰️, which is said to have been formed by the earthquake. Walking through the narrow canyon, you can't help but marvel at the power of nature. Looking up, you will see a strip of sky. Of course, you need to climb the mountain to see these natural wonders, but the mountain⛰️ is not very high, and the trails are well-maintained, so the difficulty of climbing is 😃.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
