Introducing Longjingxia Waterfall

Longjing Gorge, formerly known as Longjing River, is the largest waterfall complex in western Anhui Province. Located northeast of Baimajian, the main peak of the Dabie Mountains, in Huoshan County, Lu'an City, Anhui Province, the gorge is only 4 kilometers from the main Baimajian scenic area. The canyon is 15 kilometers long, 400 meters deep, and 40-300 meters wide. The canyon is filled with clusters of waterfalls, strewn with strange rocks, and set against lush green mountains, creating a magnificent spectacle. All the names in the gorge are related to dragons, hence the three waterfalls within.

The Longjing Gorge Waterfall Canyon is 15 kilometers long, 400 meters deep, and 40-300 meters wide. It boasts numerous waterfalls and is dotted with unusually shaped rocks. Within the Pan-Dabie Mountain Tourist Area and East China, Longjing Gorge boasts the highest altitude, best vegetation, largest waterfalls, most beautiful scenery, and a pristine canyon ecosystem, earning it the title of "the premier natural canyon waterfall in the Dabie Mountains and East China."

Many of the canyon's names are dragon-related, including the four largest waterfalls. The tallest, at 70 meters, is called Longmen Tiao, cascading majestically between two peaks. The 50-meter-high waterfall is called Longjingtan, named for the 100-square-meter pool beneath it. The 40-meter-high waterfall is called Longwangzun, shaped like a wine jar used by ancient emperors. The 30-meter-high waterfall is called Shenlongshou, shaped like a dragon claw playing with a pearl.
