Introduction to Tianmen Cave

The cave sits at an altitude of about 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) and measures around 131.5 meters (431 feet) in height, 57 meters (187 feet) wide, and 60 meters (197 feet) deep.

Formed naturally after a cliff collapse in ancient times, it creates a giant hole through the mountain, resembling a gateway to the heavens—hence its name.
