Zhangjiajie - 72 Wonder Tower, Tianmen, Zhangjiajie Forest Park

Day 1 - Arrived by high speed rail from Chongqing to Zhangjiajie Xi and checked into Qian (Thousand) Hotel (free transfer from the station). Spent the evening at 72 Wonder Tower, enjoying the performances and wandering around.

Day 2 - Tianmen. We prebooked tickets for Line B and picked them up at the ticket office on the day. This was the best route for us as my husband and friend wanted to climb the Tianmen steps, then we got to take the long cable car all the way back down to the city.

Day 3 - Zhangjiajie Forest Park. We prebooked tickets with unlimited cable cars/elevator. This gave us plenty of flexibility for how we wanted to get around on our day.

Scenery was absolutely stunning in both locations and definitely worth the trip!
