The moment I put pen to paper, I remembered the bluestone-paved paths of Huangyao Ancient Town. This thousand-year-old hidden gem in Guangxi is absolutely perfect for photography! Today I'm sharing my recommended strolling-and-shooting route through the ancient town.

🚶‍♀️Must-shoot route:
1️⃣Morning shots at the Ancient Stage
At 7am, the Ancient Stage has fewer people and soft lighting. Put on Hanfu attire and sit on the steps - instant vintage masterpiece! Pro tip: the 300-year-old banyan tree nearby makes an incredible backdrop🌳

2️⃣Panoramic view of Dailong Bridge
Arrive before 10am for the best overhead angles! Wear light-colored clothing - the stone railings at the bridgehead are super photogenic (grab some local fermented beans as props)

3️⃣Creative shots at Immortal Ancient Well
Visit at lunchtime when crowds are eating. The three-eyed well is perfect for perspective shots. My side-profile photo "holding well water" went viral on social media💦

4️⃣Retro photos at Guo Family Compound
3pm sunlight filtering through the courtyard is magical! The carved windows, doors and blue-brick walls make natural studios - bring an oil-paper umbrella for extra atmosphere

5️⃣Night portraits in the ancient town
The lanterns at dusk create amazing ambiance! Use stone paths + red lanterns as backdrop with flash for stunning half-body shots (don't miss Zhongxing Street at night!)

▫️Rainy days enhance the Jiangnan aesthetic - bring a clear umbrella
▫️7am and 5pm are least crowded
