The main building of the Henan Museum is modeled after the ancient Yuan Dynasty observatory, artistically exaggerated into a 'crowned pyramid' shape. The base is a 63-meter square and 45.5 meters high, with five floors inside, including one underground level. The crown is square-shaped, symbolizing the reception of 'heavenly dew' and the absorption of 'earthly energy,' implying that the Central Plains is the origin of Chinese civilization, integrating influences from all directions. The exterior walls are yellow-brown, representing the 'yellow earth' and 'Yellow River' that nurtured Chinese civilization. The front of the main building features light blue transparent windows and a transparent skylight from top to bottom, evoking the grandeur of 'the Yellow River water coming from the sky.'
The nine treasures of the Henan Museum: Jiahu Bone Flute, Duling Fangding, Lady Hao Owl Zun, Jade-handled Iron Sword, Lotus and Crane Square Pot, Cloud Pattern Bronze Ban, Four Gods Cloud Pattern Mural, Wu Zetian Gold Plaque, Ru Kiln Sky Blue Glazed Carved Goose Neck Vase
