Zhengzhou / Erqi Memorial Tower

During this trip to Henan, I visited Zhengzhou's famous landmark: the Erqi Memorial Tower.

The tower, designed as a double-linked structure, commemorates two martyrs who died during the strike. Each floor houses a small exhibition hall, some telling the story of the strike and others about the city of Zhengzhou.

There's a saying: "Zhengzhou is a city brought here by trains."

The Erqi Memorial Tower also documents the history of the railway station and other developments. The trains we ride today are the result of the hard work of those workers. Next to the Erqi Memorial Tower is Erqi Square, a large and bustling square that's home to Zhengzhou's nightlife. After visiting the Erqi Memorial Tower, you can immediately go shopping there!

However, there's only one elevator in the entire tower, which can be a bit inconvenient!
