Spent three days and two nights in Bijie this July—prices were unbelievably low, completely shattering my spending expectations! Save this guide now!
Day 1: The Wonders of Zhijin Cave
Arrived in Bijie at noon, took a short rest, then headed to Zhijin Cave. The ticket offers incredible value, with stunning stalactites inside that look like a dreamy castle under the lights 🏰. After the tour, enjoyed a farmhouse meal nearby—stewed free-range chicken with mushrooms and stir-fried seasonal veggies—huge portions and delicious, under ¥50 per person 🍽. Stayed at a nearby homestay—clean and budget-friendly.
Day 2: Baili Azalea & Caohai Lake
Started the morning at Baili Azalea (no flowers in July, but the natural scenery is still breathtaking), strolling along the boardwalk and breathing in the fresh air 🌳. Lunch was sour fish soup at a nearby town—tender fish with a tangy broth, a huge pot for just ¥80. In the afternoon, took a boat ride on Caohai Lake, soaking in the serene views—tickets were super affordable 🚤. Returned to the city in the evening and hit the snack street for a sizzling hotpot—mix-and-match ingredients, stuffed for just ¥30 per person.
Day 3: Leisurely City Tour
Spent the morning at Bijie People’s Park, soaking up the local vibe. Lunch was mutton rice noodles—smooth noodles in rich broth, a hearty bowl for just ¥10 🍜. In the afternoon, explored Qixingguan Ancient Town, wandering the old streets and picking up souvenirs. Time to head home after!
Tips:
🚗 Transport: Buses and taxis are convenient and cheap.
🧥 Clothing: Mornings and evenings are slightly cool in July—pack a light jacket.
Bijie is a hidden gem—stunning scenery and low costs, who could resist? 💗
