Journey Through the Bustling Commercial Port: Xiangshan Commercial Culture Tour

Stepping into the Xiangshan Commercial Culture Museum feels like opening a door to a century-old past. The wooden beams exude a historical fragrance, and the various old objects on display seem to whisper the commercial stories of Zhongshan's past. The most captivating exhibit for me is a miniature model of the old Xiangshan street. The cobblestone streets are lined with shops, including tailor shops, pharmacies, and teahouses, all vividly recreated. It feels as if each small wooden door hides a lively story. Nearby, an ancient weaving machine is displayed. Touching its cold surface with my fingertips, my thoughts drift back to the era when fabrics were in high demand. Following the museum's guide, I also saw the history of merchants' interactions with ocean shipping. Yellowed photographs capture the determined expressions of the pioneers, and imported goods testify to Xiangshan's glorious past as a commercial hub. Leaving the museum, I am filled with respect. The commercial culture of Xiangshan is not just history but a legacy that inspires us to maintain our original aspirations and continue to prosper amidst changing times.
