Time Corridor: The History of Zhongshan Museum

Stepping into the Zhongshan Museum is like entering a corridor of time. The lighting inside the museum is soft, which contrasts beautifully with the exhibits around it, as if whispering the city’s long history and cultural stories. In the exhibition hall, old photos and cultural relics are quietly arranged. From the architectural style of Lingnan to the life trajectory of Zhongshan’s predecessors, each exhibit is full of memories of the past. I stopped at the special exhibition area for Mr. Sun Yat-sen. Those yellowed manuscripts and images seemed to bring me back to the turbulent times a hundred years ago, allowing me to experience how a great man changed the course of the times with his vision and beliefs. One corner of the museum is a special area that showcases Lingnan culture. The exquisitely carved wooden windows and traditional paper-cuts exude a strong local flavor, allowing people to feel the deep roots of Zhongshan culture. When I walked out of the museum, the sun was shining, but the tranquility and emotion seemed to still remain in my heart. Zhongshan Museum is not only a container of history, but also a spiritual place that awakens people to cherish the past.
