I finished a big project this morning so I took the afternoon off and visited Zimaling Park, 紫马岭公园 , in Zhongshan. A highlight for flower lovers and photographers alike is probably the rose garden, which is just inside the south gate on Bo'Ai Rd, 博爱路, and features dozens of varieties of roses. There are also several large grassy fields where people sit out or have a picnic, each surrounded by flower gardens or shaded by different kinds of trees. It was truly refreshing to wander around and take photos after being stuck at my desk for so long.
Zimaling gets quite busy on the weekends, but if you can go during normal business hours you'll enjoy open space and tranquility.

Cost: Free
Getting there: There are gates on the north and south. The south side has parking but it gets very crowded weekends. There's lots of bike/motorbike parking.
Accessibility: Many parts of the park are wheelchair accessible
