Xiangsi River, located in Shuitian Town, northeast of Guiyang City, is 30 kilometers from the city and accessible by two main highways. The scenic area boasts a high forest coverage rate and boasts over 620 plant species, many of which are extremely rare. A variety of rare birds and animals inhabit the area, making it a popular destination for forest tourism and hunting.

The Xiangsi River Scenic Area is a mountainous canyon of mudstone and limestone. Dense forests, steep peaks, tranquil lakes, cascading waterfalls, and surging rapids create a unique " paradise " comprised of 52 unique scenic features . Reception facilities include the Xiangsi River Resort, Caifengping Reception Center, and Wanglang Villa.

The architecture is based on the local ancient ethnic style and folk culture, with an authentic farmhouse style. Currently developed scenic spots include Ladder Rock, Prickly Pear Bay, Pearl Gorge, Chuilian Peak Waterfall, Diaoyutai, Caifengping Reception Center, Longkou Waterfall, Fairy Beach Waterfall, Yuanyang Lake, Wanglang Peak Group (Lions Gathering), and Stone Guanyin.
