A Glimpse of Zhuhai - The Stunning Zhuhai Expo

When I visited Zhuhai, I made time to visit the Zhuhai Museum. To be honest, before I went there, I thought that Zhuhai’s history as a city is not very long and its geographical area is not very large, so I expected that there would not be many stories to tell and the exhibits probably would not be very outstanding, so I did not have too high expectations and just planned to take a casual look like I usually do when visiting a museum.

The Zhuhai Museum is not a very large building with a simple facade and bright colors. The exhibition hall is spacious and clean, and is well-behaved yet elegant. The theme exhibitions and permanent exhibitions are located on three floors respectively. The exhibition route is clear and you can easily tour around by following the instructions.

What is surprising is that the most important permanent exhibition of Zhuhai in the museum uses historical context as a thread, world vision as a window, and Zhuhai’s mind as a soul to tell the origins of Zhuhai and Zhuhai people with Guangdong, China and even the world. The curatorial level, exhibition skills and production craftsmanship are all first-class. The exhibition route not only extends on the ground, but also has an aerial route. A considerable number of exhibits and display boards are placed in a staggered manner. Some are placed still on the ground, and some are suspended in the air. Walking through them, it seems as if historical scenes and vivid characters are rushing towards you, which is very interesting. To be honest, the wonderful presentation of this exhibition has greatly changed my impression of this museum, and I was immersed in it for two hours without realizing it.

It has to be admitted that the curatorial and exhibition team of Zhuhai Museum is extremely strong, far surpassing most museums of the same level in China. I strongly recommend friends who come to Zhuhai to check in!
