Zhuhai was definitely worth the visit, and this popular hotel was the right choice

🏨 Zhuhai Huafa Marriott Hotel

📍 Prime location for easy travel
Right downstairs is the Shangdu shopping district, perfect for strolling, eating, and drinking. It’s a 10-minute drive to Lovers’ Road coastline, and Zhuhai Fisher Girl and Sun and Moon Shell are both within a half-hour drive. It’s also convenient to get to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, less than 40 minutes by taxi. At night, the city’s neon-lit skyline viewed from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room makes every snapshot look like a masterpiece.

🛏️ A stay that delights detail lovers
The moment I opened the door, I felt instantly comforted! The room is decorated in understated luxury, with bedding soft as if wrapped in clouds. Before sleeping, I found a handwritten welcome card and a small box of macarons on the bedside table, which was so heartwarming. The bathroom is huge, with a thoughtful double sink design, and there’s a Bluetooth speaker by the bathtub—listening to music while soaking away the day’s fatigue was pure bliss.

🏋️‍♂️ Fitness and relaxation, both covered
The gym equipment is ridiculously complete! Elliptical machines, dumbbells, treadmills—you name it. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide excellent natural light and a city view while working out. The heated pool is crystal clear, and after swimming, relaxing in the adjacent steam room made me feel completely refreshed. The biggest surprise was the rooftop sky garden, where you can enjoy the evening breeze and a drink, creating an amazing atmosphere.

🍽️ A refined feast for the palate
The breakfast variety is overwhelming! Freshly cooked shrimp wonton noodles with a rich broth and plump shrimp. The Western section’s croissants are flaky and crispy, perfect with coffee. I also enjoyed authentic Cantonese dim sum—shrimp dumplings and siu mai were so good I couldn’t stop eating. For dinner, I ordered the Typhoon Shelter-style fried crab at the hotel restaurant; the crab meat was tender, and even the fried garlic side dish was finger-licking good.

💡 Unforgettable moments
On check-in day, I had a lot of luggage, and the concierge kindly helped carry it to my room and thoughtfully introduced nearby attractions. The next day, I forgot my umbrella, and the front desk lent me one without hesitation. When I returned it, they even gave me some mints. These small touches really made me feel special and cared for.

📌 Super practical tips

▪️ Free parking at the hotel, great for self-driving guests
▪️ Weekend afternoon tea requires advance reservation; the desserts are both beautiful and delicious
