Zhuhai's hidden gem for family trips: A stay experience at Zhuhai Huafa Marriott Hotel

This time, we drove to Zhuhai with our kids, heading straight to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom as our first stop. Our stay at Zhuhai Huafa Marriott Hotel added so many pleasant surprises to this family trip that I can't wait to share with everyone.

🏘️️️Room Type/Layout: Located in the core area of Jinwan District, it's about a 30-minute drive to Chimelong, perfect for kids to nap on the way. The return trip was smooth too, making it relaxing for both adults and children. We chose the Art Center View Twin Room, which offers a panoramic view of the Zaha Hadid-designed Jinwan Art Center. The hotel opened in 2023 with brand-new decor and plenty of suites. Though not overly spacious, the location is excellent. Plus, there was a promotion adding just 99 yuan to book a suite, offering incredible value.

🛌Amenities/Facilities: The room comes with a mini-bar offering complimentary first-round drinks. The welcome card even had our child's name on it, adding a special touch. For families with infants, the front desk thoughtfully provides cribs and bed rails. Additionally, the room has TV screen mirroring, and the hairdryer is from Cetis. The rooftop outdoor pool is perfect for photo ops, while the 6th-floor kids' club is a paradise with building blocks, a drawing area, and mini tables and chairs creating a social space where kids quickly bond, giving parents a chance to relax. Surprisingly, the concierge also offers free bike and camping gear rentals.

🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The hotel environment is quiet with good soundproofing, ensuring a comfortable sleep. Though minor issues arose occasionally—like our room not being fully ready when we checked in at 10 AM after an early flight—the staff responded quickly and resolved things properly. Overall, cleanliness meets daily living needs, with tidy rooms and well-maintained facilities.

💗Other Tips: We enjoyed the seafood hot pot buffet dinner (Monday to Thursday) at The Kitchen, featuring fresh ingredients like black tiger shrimp, hand-cut beef, and salmon, along with a wide variety of hot pot ingredients and a "Candy Boulevard" full of desserts that delighted our child. Coinciding with the hotel's 2nd-anniversary event, limited-edition collectible cards were available at the 1F concierge or 22F lobby lounge, with chances to win gifts. Nearby attractions include Chimelong Ocean Kingdom (30-minute drive), Jinwan Art Center's weekend fountain shows, Jinshan Sports Park for cycling/camping/family activities, Huafa Mall Jinwan for diverse dining, and Jinwan Library with its cozy children's reading area.

Zhuhai Huafa Marriott Hotel isn't just another Instagrammable spot—it stands out with its simple design, thoughtful service, comprehensive facilities, numerous child-friendly details, and convenient location. It's an ideal choice for family trips, offering both comfortable stays and easy access to Zhuhai's attractions, making the journey warm and joyful for families.
