Zhujiajiao Ancient Town Half-Day Tour

It takes about 50 minutes to get to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town by car from Shanghai Bund.
Or
Take Metro Line 17, get off at Zhujiajiao Station, then walk about 20 minutes to the ancient town area.

We planned to spend half a day strolling here leisurely.

There are many restaurants here, but the dishes are quite similar. The difference is just the view of the river.
We chose a pet-friendly restaurant a bit farther from the entrance. Although the food mainly consists of light meals, our group all liked the small animals, and the restaurant’s river view was nice and quieter compared to others.

After the meal, we wandered through the alleys. Along the way, there were many small shops selling tea leaves, rice dumplings, accessories, tie-dye clothes, snowflake cream, peanut candy, cloud cake, and more. You can also conveniently buy souvenirs here.

The pathways in Zhujiajiao have stairs in the middle, so elderly visitors should be careful.

We chose to come here to experience the water town atmosphere. There are boat rides available, and chartering a boat for a group is more cost-effective. Otherwise, the boat will only depart when full.

A pleasant surprise was a blooming cherry blossom tree 🌸 that outshone our photo spots.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town is definitely a great place to visit!
