A Peaceful Escape to Zhujiajiao Water Town 🛶✨

If you’re looking for a relaxing day trip from Shanghai, Zhujiajiao Water Town is the perfect spot! Just an hour away, this ancient town offers peaceful canals, charming bridges, traditional houses, and a slow pace of life that feels like stepping into another world. 🌸

🚌 How to Get There:
• By metro: Take Shanghai Metro Line 17 to Zhujiajiao Station. From there, it’s a short 15-minute walk to the old town.
• By bus: Tourist buses run daily from Shanghai People’s Square.
• By taxi or Didi: Around 100–150 RMB from central Shanghai.

🎫 Entrance Fees:

There are several ticket packages available depending on what you want to visit.
We were a group of students and paid only 6€ (around 46 RMB) to visit all the main attractions, including:
• Kezhi Garden
• Yuanjin Buddhist Temple
• Qing Dynasty Post Office
• Tongtianhe Pharmacy
• And more historical residences and museums!

There are also different ticket combos available at the entrance (prices as of 2025):
• 💡 Pass for 8 attractions: ~60 RMB
• 💡 Pass for 4 attractions: ~30–40 RMB
• 💡 You can also choose to explore the town for free (walking around is free), and buy individual entry tickets if interested.

🍜 Pro Tips:
• Try the local snacks like zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) and lotus root!
• A boat ride on the canal is optional (~80 RMB per boat) and fun with friends.
• Best to go early in the morning to avoid crowds.

Highly recommend it if you’re looking for something cultural, affordable, and photogenic 📸
