Stepping into the Qi Culture Museum is like embarking on a wondrous journey through time, where the rich aura of history greets you at every turn.
Upon entering the exhibition hall, the massive bronze relief mural *Haidaifeng of Qi* immediately captivates the eye. The lifelike figures of historical Qi luminaries like Jiang Taigong and Duke Huan of Qi stand out vividly, while the backdrop of the sea, the Zi River, and Mount Tai seems to narrate the glorious past of Qi culture flourishing between the sea and the mountains, along the Zi River basin. It made me eager to delve deeper into the history of the Qi State.
As I ventured further, I traced the developmental trajectory of Qi, beginning with Taigong's enfeoffment. Jiang Taigong, holding a golden battle-axe with spirited determination, led his army to establish the Qi State, laying the foundation for this land. Under his governance, Qi gradually ushered in an era of prosperity.
Moving ahead, I encountered the legendary tales of Guan Zhong and Duke Huan of Qi. Guan Zhong proposed a series of reforms that helped Duke Huan boost production, train the military, and rapidly strengthen Qi's economic and military power. Under the slogan "Honor the Son of Heaven, Repel the Barbarians," Duke Huan became the first hegemon of the Spring and Autumn period, marking the zenith of Qi's power.
Among the exhibits, the Warring States *Xizun* sacrificial vessel stands out with its exquisite craftsmanship and intricate design. Despite the passage of millennia, it still radiates a unique charm, showcasing the advanced artistry of Qi during the Warring States period. The chime bells, too, seem to echo the melodious tunes once played by ancient musicians, allowing visitors to appreciate the refined elegance of Qi culture.
The Qi Culture Museum is not just a sanctuary for artifacts but also a chronicler of history and a guardian of cultural heritage. Here, I engaged in a dialogue with the ancients, experiencing the rise and fall of Qi and the profound depth of its culture. It made me realize that history is never truly distant—it lives on in a unique way, vividly presented before us, inspiring us to preserve and carry forward this precious cultural legacy.
