Thinking back to my previous trip to the United States and my trip to Xinjiang in China, I suddenly realized that most of the world's most beautiful and magnificent natural landscapes and geological formations can actually be found and seen in China!
Then I remembered that when I went to hike the Himalayan Loop in Nepal, I met a Nordic girl on the road and asked me if there were any mountains in China with such beautiful scenery as the Himalayas to hike. You must know that on the other side separated by the Himalayas in front of you at that time, it was the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China's first step, which caused the collision of the earth's plates to raise altitude! Just a Hengduan mountain range, just close your eyes and choose a place, as if you have fallen into a fairyland on earth, it is a holy place in the heart that makes the world breathe! I really want to go, the huge China, I'm afraid I won't be able to finish it in my lifetime.
It turns out that after living for half a lifetime, I don't know this country where I was born and raised at all!
Under the guidance of this book, the appearance of the cities I have been to has begun to gradually become clear in my mind at this moment. Sichuan, a place where my husband and I have been to several times and still want to go, Chengdu and the surrounding Luoyi ancient town, Qingcheng Mountain, Emei Mountain, Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong have left a lot of good memories, the first time in Xiao Feiyu's life was spicy to the point of red and swollen lips, wow crying was in Chengdu, and I clearly remember that when he was 2 years old, he quickly grabbed the red pepper I threw away on the table and stuffed it into his mouth, his expression changed rapidly, and he couldn't describe the bitter little appearance.
This trip to western Sichuan is like a stroke of genius, and it can be regarded as a trip that can be said to go. It was caused by the originally carefully planned Shangri-La itinerary, which was stranded due to the sudden outbreak of the summer epidemic, which made people feel so uncomfortable! Only then did he suddenly think of it in his hesitation that he must go out for a walk in Eleven.
Five days before November, my husband patted his head and pointed to Sichuan, taking Xiao Feiyu to see pandas, and I happily added the Siguniang Mountain that I had always been thinking about to the list. I originally planned to only go to the three places of Panda Base, Siguniang Mountain and Wolong, but as I was doing the strategy, my desire swelled, and I noticed another glacier holy place that I missed - Hailuogou! But after all, there are only seven days of holidays on November 11, and for us in Beijing, in fact, there are only 6 days to play. After racking my brains to check the route, I found that it seemed that only by taking the small ring road in western Sichuan could I take into account the two places of Siguniang Mountain and Hailuogou, but there was not enough time at all.

Get off the plane to pick up the car from the car rental company, the pick-up service is poor and consume the time saved by the plane, and finally it is a little later than planned, and at 6 p.m. we set off in a big Tianlai and went straight to the ancient town of Moxi, where Hailuogou is located. This time, the small ring line went clockwise during the eleventh period, various traffic accidents on the highway, and when it came out of the high-speed Luding service area, it was already dark early in the morning, and it was the first time in my life to drive 318, and I didn't see anything in the dark, and the whole process was accompanied by the sound of rushing water in the Dadu River, all the way to the Mofan Mountain Neighbor Inn next to Gongga Mountain Hot Springs. However, the moment I looked up at the bright stars in the dark night through the skylight, the sound of the Dadu River was particularly clear, the night breeze blew through the window, and a strong smell of sulfur filled the air, and the tension of the whole person finally relaxed at this moment. The little flying fish smelled of rotten eggs and natural sulfur hot spring water, and was once again shocked by the proximity of the starry sky.It was 1 a.m. after arriving at the inn, and the barbecue restaurant next to the inn was still preparing for the upcoming tourist peak......
The inn we stayed in is next to Gongga Shentang Hot Springs, surrounded by mountains and rivers, and you can walk to the hot springs. Like the name, the interior and temperament are very Buddhist. It is a good place to close your eyes and meditate. The owner can buy hot spring tickets on your behalf, which is cheaper.

I really didn't expect the planned panda trip, the first stop was the Hailuogou Glacier that I had been thinking about for several years!
I was still worried about the forecast of rainy weather, but when I woke up at 6 o'clock in the morning, I had a hunch that the weather was good, so I woke up the little flying fish and set off after a simple wash. In order to avoid the queue, we bought breakfast at the gate of Hailuogou and took the second scenic bus straight to the cable car ticket center. Luckily, on the winding mountain road, see the sun through the clouds, after arriving at the ticket center, buy a cable car ticket and go straight to Camp 4 to see the glacier, and there is no queue on a day like November! What a super happy thing.
I heard from the innkeeper that before the epidemic, there was no need to scan the code at the gate of the scenic spot, and the scenic buses drove to various hotels to pick up people, saving the time of walking back and forth from the hotel to the bus departure station, and tossing these 40 minutes was enough to have a solid breakfast. Think about it at that time, it was really thoughtful and comfortable.
The moment I got off the car and saw the Gongga Sacred Mountain, I came to the foot of Mount Fuji in a trance, and once again sighed at the richness of the country's natural resources and landforms, and I can see most of the beautiful scenery in the world only in China! Taking the cable car up, at first there was a lush coniferous forest under your feet, and after crossing the commanding heights in the middle section, you suddenly opened up in front of you, and the glacier belt jumped out in front of you! On the edge of the glacier at the foot of the mountain, you can faintly see the simple steel plank road frame leading straight to the ice tongue, and the middle part of the plank road is disconnected and broken, it seems that this place was once allowed to walk on the glacier, I don't know if it was in disrepair or earthquake damage, and the passage was closed. I can't help but be fascinated by the days when I can walk on the glacier.
The end of the ropeway in Hailuogou, Gongga Mountain, China is actually very close to the glacier. After sighing and taking photos, we enjoyed the snow-capped mountain scenery on the observation deck together while eating the breakfast we bought before. By the way, the camps where the shuttle bus stops at each scenic spot have a lot of local specialties: roast pork sausages, roast pork chops, roast steaks, roasted yak meat, highland barley cakes, ice powder, baked potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes...... There is even a restaurant in Camp 3, and the price is very fair, and the price of a rice bowl is cheaper than a box of spontaneously heated rice. So you don't have to carry weight, just eat on the spot! Judging from the overall itinerary experience, I have to say that the tourism facilities and management of Hailuogou are still very good, including the window-opening design of the cable car is very user-friendly.
After a full breakfast, we went all the way up the plank road on the glacier flowing water, passing Glacier No. 2, Glacier No. 3, and finally arriving at the enclosed Red Rock Beach. It is said that a mudslide in the summer washed away the red stone beach, and you can still see obvious traces of the red stone rolling up when you look up. The color of the red stone has basically faded, and you can vaguely see the faded rusty red light sticking to the surface of the stone. It is said that this is formed by an algae epiphytic in the local soil on the stones. In the back of Siguniang Mountain, you can see their beautiful true appearance more clearly.
Along the way, I also met a local aunt selling wild angelica picked on the snowy mountain on the side of the road, the taste smells really mellow, taste one in the mouth, The unique fragrance of angelica spreads in the mouth, and people around 1 meter will smell it, and it will not dissipate for half a day. It is really a treasure from the mountains, and it must be in the bag!

Back at the ticket center, we decided to continue down the plank road, and found that the plank road was divided into high-altitude plank road and low-altitude plank road, we chose to take the high-altitude plank road, all the way along the mountain, the ecology of Hailuogou is very diverse, full of all kinds of dense vegetation and bizarre fungi. Before leaving, I watched a documentary with Xiao Feiyu, about the types of fungi and the important role of fungi in the formation of forest ecosystems, seeing all kinds of mushrooms, Xiao Feiyu suddenly became excited, completely forgetting the fatigue of walking in high-altitude areas, and focused on looking for all kinds of bizarre mushrooms, while recalling the mushrooms seen in the documentary, while collecting and taking pictures. Just stop and go, and soon merge with the low-altitude plank road along the glacier stream.Looking back, the snow-capped mountains stand in the middle of the lush dark green rainforest, dotted with yellow in early autumn, and time stops, which is extremely amazing.
Camp 3 has a separate route to Crescent Lake and Seongmun Cave, which can be reached on foot or by battery car with a ticket. Since we could already see Crescent Lake on the cable car, we decided to continue hiking to Camp 2 to save time. After eating at the Camp 3 Visitor Center to replenish our strength, we continued down the plank road. This crossing is basically a primeval forest along the way, sometimes gurgling streams, sometimes glacier meltwater rushing down, there are wooden plank roads, and there are also small sections of dirt roads. On the way to hike, Feiyu also met the young lady along the way, and the children were familiar with each other faster than the adults, bouncing all the way, and never heard the shout that they didn't want to leave, until they walked to Gongga Temple before separating.
Conch Gully Continuing forward, there were fewer and fewer people along the way, and in the end only three of us were left. The street signs that appear from time to time on the side of the road are constantly reminding us who is the owner here. When Feiyu and I were happily picking mushrooms, several rangers suddenly appeared in the forest ahead, reminding us to put the mushrooms in our bags, because they had just encountered a group of monkeys on their way here. "They will rob you of the mushrooms in your hands to eat! Be safe! After hearing this, Xiao Feiyu quickly put a bag of mushrooms into his bag and walked between me and my husband. We moved on and began to look for long sticks in the forest for protection, just in case. Fortunately, I didn't encounter a group of monkeys all the way to Caohaizi. Although I have a long beard, I still have a little regret in my heart. Looking back on the days when I was hiking in Nepal and driving on Route 1 in the United States, I encountered different wild animals, and the moment the animal suddenly appeared in front of you was really shocked and scared, but in hindsight, it was an extremely unforgettable experience and memory. However, this thrilling experience is also a rare experience for children.
The grass sea during the eleventh period belongs to the dry season, the scenery is average, and there is a smell of stinky fish and rotten shrimp, so you don't have to look at it. We walked nearly 10 kilometers so far, the child's physical strength and endurance have reached the limit, we walked out of the plank road as agreed and took the sightseeing bus out of the scenic spot, and arrived at the door at about 5 p.m., the time arrangement is just right - Gongga Divine Soup, we are here!!
I went to the innkeeper to get a ticket, and went straight to the famous Gongga Divine Soup in Hailuogou, and made a spa for the body to completely relax after a day of hiking, not too perfect~ It is said that the Gongga Divine Soup starts to be reserved after 8 o'clock in the evening, and the time period at 5 o'clock can almost be regarded as a private venue! Open-air hot spring pools, a variety of options, as well as hot spring water and cold spring water for drinking - huh? When I went to Mt. Fuji, I didn't remember that sulfur water can be drunk, so you can only boil eggs!? When I asked this question, I was educated by my husband that I did not listen carefully to the explanation on the bus, and the people of the Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences said that the hot spring water here is drinkable. It's amazing!! This water smells the same as it, but I think it's delicious. It is estimated that the three of us drank most of the pots.

Friends with plenty of time strongly recommend going to Gongga Shen Tang during the day, and any shot will be a blockbuster. Especially after snowing, soaking in the open air, there is a sacred mountain behind it, it is too comfortable, and the life of the gods is just like this.
After soaking in the hot springs, I went to the Moxi Ancient Town where I stayed for a delicious meal, and chose a local yak beef hot pot, which was a little surprising without chili peppers, but it was delicious, and 3 people ate until they burst ......
Moxi Town 
1. During the peak tourist season, you must, must, book tickets online at least 1 day in advance!
2. At 7 o'clock in the morning, the scenic battery bus departs for the first bus, and it is recommended to catch the first three buses to avoid waiting in long queues for the cable car. If it is obviously a rainy day, you basically don't have to take the cable car to the Camp 4 glacier, and you can't see anything.
3. The bus ends at the Ganbahe Cableway Station, after arriving, you can scan the code or buy a round-trip ropeway ticket at the ticket center to go to Camp 4 (about 45 minutes for sightseeing bus, about 15 minutes for the ropeway), the scenery along the glacier plank road is good and worth walking. The maximum altitude is about 3,800 meters, and it is recommended to travel slowly at a constant speed.
4. Camp 4 can choose to take a sightseeing battery car or walk. Camp 4 to Camp 2 pass through glacial rainforest, primeval forest, Caohaizi (the whole journey is 4 kilometers, about 1.5 hours hiking), the scenery is amazing! And all the way down, there is no difficulty, it is highly recommended to take a walk. If you take a sightseeing car all the way, you won't see any scenery. There are multiple boarding points along the way, so you don't have to walk all of them, just get on the bus at the next stop when you are tired.
5. There is nothing to see in Caohai in the dry season, and it is recommended to walk to Caohai in the Fengshui season, which is still very beautiful. Cao Haizi took a sightseeing bus back to the visitor center in about 15 minutes.
6. Camps 1 and 2 are not worth seeing, and sightseeing buses will not take the initiative to stop. The most worthwhile scenery in Hailuogou is basically between camps 4 and 2, and the rest can be skipped. But! Camp 2 has a hot spring resort where you can also soak in hot springs, which is the kind of open-air hot spring surrounded by Gongga Snow Mountain, and friends with plenty of time are highly recommended to go to the hot springs early. If you are staying in a hotel, you can ask if you can take guests down the mountain and back to the visitor center.
7. Soaking in natural hot springs is a must-experience when you come to Hailuogou! There are many hot spring options, and in addition to the hot springs in the camp, the half-muda and Gongga Jinyu hot springs are the two largest. You don't have to stay in a hotel to soak in Gongga Shentang Hot Spring, you can consider staying nearby or in Moxi Ancient Town, which is an 8-minute drive away, and buy a separate hot spring ticket.
Early the next morning, I went to eat the night before in Moxi Ancient Town and ate the breakfast shop opposite the hotel to eat the buns that are said to be the best in the local area, which is indeed delicious! Highly recommended! Remember to go early, if you go late, it will be sold out.

The road conditions are very good, with few cars and beautiful scenery. Not long after leaving the ancient town, I found that there were many self-driving cars stopping on the side of the road, and if you looked closely, you would find that the side of the road was the legendary red stone beach! So we also went down to Red Rock Beach to play in the water for a while, and the river water rushed down from the glacier, which was very clear. Unfortunately, the algae on the red stone almost faded for some reason. I touched it with my hand, and it was as soft as velvet.
Continuing to move forward, the Gongga Snow Mountain appears in the field of view again on the winding mountain road, and the highest point to the "China Red Stone Beach" observation deck is the best place to see, and the language is no longer enough to express the openness and spectacle of the glacier snow water flowing down from the top of the Gongga Snow Mountain and meandering along the middle of the red stone of the sacred mountain, in fact, the picture is not enough to show the beauty of the scene.

Because it is surrounded by mountains, there are many snow-capped mountain streams falling from high places along the winding mountain road, and the scenery is really beautiful. Stopping and walking all the way, time flowed quickly in the play in such a luxurious way. From time to time, herders drive cattle and horses across the road, and there will be cars and horses that open our eyes. The little flying fish in the car couldn't see it anymore, giggling and blooming, and I thought about it and had a lot of talk to go back and brag to my classmates.
As we climbed in altitude, we felt that Yajiachengya Pass was getting closer and closer. I saw a lot of good-looking photos during the strategy, and I was looking forward to seeing it in real life. When a lake suddenly appeared in front of him, a snow-capped mountain so close ......

Because it was past noon when we arrived here, the wind blew ripples on the lake. Although I didn't see the mirror-like lake of the reflected snow-capped mountains, this was enough, and everything was just right.
It is different from any photo. Even the next moment is completely different from the previous moment, the flow of light and the surge of air flow make every moment here change. The passage of time and the change of temperature make every day and every season here have a different beauty. In half a month, it will enter the snowfall season, and it will be surrounded by snow-capped mountains on all sides; In half a year, the rhododendrons will bloom, and the fiery sea of rhododendrons under the snow-capped mountains will bloom here...... And this is just the tip of the iceberg of the scattered fairy scenery under the Hengduan Mountains!

It seems that in order to prove the law that if you want to get it, you must pay the price, we passed through Kangding City when we left Yajiachengyakou, and in order to go to the Leshan Hotel for lunch, we drove into an extremely painful trip, and on the extremely narrow and curved small road in the city, we joined the rolling traffic flow of the large army rushing to Kangding, Xinduqiao, and Tagong, and spent 3 hours in the congestion...... It wasn't until we finally got out of the trapped beast-like maze of the city that we looked back and knew that we were still extremely lucky, because after we drove normally for half an hour after leaving Kangding City, the traffic in the stagnant queue still didn't ......
The food at Leshan Hotel is still very good.
Because of the 3 hours of delay in eating, let us once again drive on the dark national highway 318 accompanied by the rumbling water of the Dadu River, and the more we drive, the more lonely we become. Until we saw the quarantine personnel greeting us at the gate of the Tibetan village on the middle road, we finally breathed a sigh of relief, and the staff's condolences were extremely warm, but when we heard that there was still a long and difficult road ahead, our hearts were half cold, and when we heard that there was no restaurant in the village, our hearts were completely cold...... It seems that this desolate place can only point to the rice packed at noon with garlic white meat!The difficulty of the road is as it is said, because the roadbed collapse and construction rescue caused by the rain in August have made it more difficult to walk on the single lane that already needs to be the wrong car.
The earthen embryo house and thatched house that went around the old road made Xiao Feiyu cry and shout that he didn't want to live here...... The moment I finally arrived at the Peak Inn booked by my husband, I was about to cry! ——It's not in vain to drive for so long! The dining room has soft lighting, spacious rooms, spacious bathrooms, warm floors, balconies with tea and a large terrace with a flat roof where you can watch the stars!!
After eating a simple packed meal on the balcony and nibbling on the big apple from the inn, the three of us ran to the rooftop to see the stars with a flashlight. At this time, it was late at night, and the sky was like a dark blue curtain spreading out in all directions. Lying on the roof and looking up at the stars and the bright Milky Way passing overhead, the whole world fell silent.
When I opened my eyes, it was not yet dawn, and the farmland and villages in front of me were shrouded in blue, lying quietly on a small plain on the mountainside, and the Dadu River in the distance passed through the valley at the foot of the mountain. It is said that the temperature started to cool down today, so I put on my jacket and jacket pants and quietly walked out of the room. Occasionally, I met tourists in twos and threes on the road, all of whom went to the observation deck on the top of the mountain. Everyone chatted softly and slowly walked past Tibetan houses decorated with dark red paint.
While waiting at the top of the mountain, cars drove to the observation deck one after another, and the lights flashed like dragon stars on the winding mountain road. The sunrise on the mountain seems to be later than on the plain, and it took a long time for the sun to finally climb over the top of the high mountain on the east side and sprinkle the morning sun on the Tibetan village below. The temperature in the air rose rapidly, and when I looked at the time, it was already 8 o'clock in the morning.
We had breakfast in the inn's restaurant, and only then did we learn from the little brother in the store who loves to chat with customers that many guests were blocked on the road yesterday and failed to drive to Kangding, and the guests who came from the direction of Xiao Jin were also blocked by traffic control on the opposite side. This traffic jam made the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture government issue an official notice calling on everyone not to drive in the direction of Kangding, I guess the Kangding area probably dispatched all the local traffic police to maintain traffic order, in the face of chaotic traffic, standing for a day is really very hard. The little brother said that this season is not the best time to see the Tibetan village. The most beautiful time is the end of October, when the leaves turn yellow and red, and Danba Tibetan Village, Zhonglu Tibetan Village, and Jiaju Tibetan Village will show their own different beauty under different mountainous terrains.
The hotel is in a very good environment, there are many local pear and apple trees in the courtyard, and I think the taste is not bad. The boss is a photography enthusiast, and he specially made a pool in the front yard, and in the snowy season, he can take pictures of the snowy mountains reflected on the water surface in his small courtyard, which is particularly beautiful.
Today's journey is 113 km, and the navigation shows that it only takes 3 hours. After breakfast, we were not in a hurry and looked at the scenery on the balcony of the room for a while before setting off. When passing through Xiaojin Town, we specially bought a large box of Xiaojin specialty apples, two pots of local plums, two pots of figs, and countless dried mushrooms recommended by the innkeeper in a small market. I highly recommend the small golden apple and the local small plum here, they are really super delicious! The apple flavor is very strong, and the plum is ¥10 a pot, super sweet.
There is a section of the road in the direction of Danba-Xiaojin that has mudslides during the rainy season, and the road conditions are very poor, and traffic control is one-way release, so you need to drive carefully.
