In Chengdu, a city full of fireworks and cultural heritage, Huanhuaxi is like a bright pearl, exuding a unique charm. Finally, on a sunny weekend, I embarked on a journey to explore the beauty of Huanhua Creek.

Stepping into the gate of Huanhuaxi Park, the first thing that catches your eye is a winding stream, the stream is crystal clear and sparkling in the sun, like a flowing silver belt. The weeping willows by the stream sway, and the tender green willow branches sway with the wind, as if they are the brushes of nature, depicting beautiful pictures in the air. Walking along the path by the stream, the breeze blows on your face, bringing a hint of coolness, which makes people feel refreshed.

Continuing on, we came to the Avenue of Poetry. On both sides of the avenue stand statues of famous poets from ancient and modern times at home and abroad, who are either contemplating or chanting, with different expressions and lifelikes. From Qu Yuan, Li Bai, Du Fu to Tagore, Pushkin, etc., each statue seems to tell their poetic story, immersing people in the ocean of poetry and feeling the infinite charm of poetry. I slowed down and admired the statues, imagining the scene of the poets at the time of creation, and I couldn't help but feel admiration for them.

Through the Poetry Avenue, we came to Du Fu's thatched cottage. This is the former residence of the great poet Du Fu of the Tang Dynasty when he was in Chengdu, and it is also an important holy place in the history of Chinese literature. Walking into Du Fu's thatched cottage is like traveling through time and space, returning to that era of beacon fires. The ancient trees in the thatched hall are towering, green bamboo is shady, and the pavilions and pavilions are scattered. Walking along the bluestone path, I visited the thatched hut where Du Fu once lived, and although the thatched hut has been renovated many times, it still retains its quaint style. Standing in front of the hut, I couldn't help but think of Du Fu's sentence "Tens of millions of spacious houses, shelter the poor people of the world", and felt the poet's broad mind of worrying about the country and the people.

Leaving Du Fu's thatched cottage, I came to the lake in Huanhuaxi Park. The lake is as green as a mirror, reflecting the surrounding mountains, trees and buildings, like a natural landscape picture. On the lake, the cruise ship ripples and sparkles, giving people a sense of tranquility and peace. I rented a small boat and rowed slowly towards the center of the lake. The breeze blew across the lake, creating ripples, and the boat swayed gently, as if in a fairyland. In the center of the lake, I stopped the oars and quietly admired the beautiful scenery around me, and the worries and fatigue in my heart gradually dissipated.

Before I knew it, the sun had set in the west, and the afterglow of the sunset sprinkled on Huanhua Creek, covering the entire park with a layer of golden gauze. I walked back along the lakeside path, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Huanhua Creek under the sunset along the way, and my heart was full of reluctance. At this time, Huanhua Creek is a little less hustle and bustle during the day and a little more quiet at night. The lights are on, illuminating the paths and trees by the stream, and also illuminating the poetry in people's hearts.

This trip to Huanhua Creek made me deeply feel the perfect integration of the cultural heritage and natural scenery of the city of Chengdu. Huanhuaxi is not only a beautiful park, but also a treasure trove of history and culture.
