I have been to Sichuan at least five or six times, and I have traveled occasionally, mostly for work, but I haven't played much. Most of the places I went to were near Chengdu, including Dujiangyan and Wenchuan after the earthquake, and there were wide and narrow alleys, Chunxi Road, Wuhou Temple, Jinxi, etc. in the urban area, and I also passed through Songfan and Ruoerge, and went to Qinghai. There is another important reason for this: the mountains and rivers of Jiuzhaigou are the most perfect existence in my mind, and I have always been reluctant to travel, for fear that if I go to Jiuzhaigou, I will have no love for other mountains and rivers of the motherland, which also leads to a mentality in my heart to try to put the journey of Sichuan back and delay it again.

This trip is a special trip to travel, and I don't care about anything else. Because the journey in Sichuan is centered on Chengdu and radiates around, the distance is long, and most of the mountain roads are mostly mountain roads. For the sake of safety, I adopted the method of renting a car in a separate group, and I chose to determine the attractions myself, and then featured several travel agencies for quotation. I chose four travel agencies successively, communicated and searched several times, adjusted the route several times, and finally chose one of them. I also gave up the route through the Qingmu River in Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province until the itinerary was finalized.

There are 13 people on this trip, most of whom are travelers who have traveled with them many times.

Mount Emei, located in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, has the highest peak of Ten Thousand Buddha Peak at an altitude of 3,099 meters. It is famous for its beautiful natural scenery, long-standing Buddhist culture, rich animal and plant resources, and unique geological landforms, and is known as "Immortal Mountain Buddha Country", "Plant Kingdom", "Animal Paradise" and "Geological Museum".

Mount Emei has a profound cultural heritage. Buddhism, Taoism, martial arts, and camellia culture flourished in Mount Emei, and many historical celebrities left poems here; In 1996, most of the cultural relics of Mount Emei were included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. It is also included in the World Natural and Cultural Heritage List by the United Nations together with Leshan.

Mount Emei is the holy land of Buddhism, a veritable Puxian dojo, listed as one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, along with Wutai in Shanxi, Jiuhua in Anhui and Putuo in Zhejiang. According to legend, during the Eastern Han Dynasty, there were Taoist temples on the mountain. After Mount Emei was revered as the Puxian Bodhisattva dojo, the whole mountain changed from Tao to Buddha. During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the eminent monk Huichi and Zen Master Mingguo successively went to Mount Emei to live in Xi to practice. During the Tang and Song dynasties, the two religions coexisted, and temples and palaces were greatly developed. At the time of the Ming Dynasty, Taoism declined and Buddhism flourished, with more than 1,700 monks at one point, and nearly 100 large and small temples in the mountain. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were more than 150 Buddhist temples. The development of Buddhism in the past two thousand years has left a rich Buddhist cultural heritage on Mount Emei, making Mount Emei gradually become a Buddhist holy place with far-reaching influence in China and even the world.

Mount Emei is a martial arts place, and is known as the three major sects of Chinese martial arts along with Shaolin and Wudang. According to historical records, "Emei martial arts" originated from Yin Shang in the Southern Song Dynasty, with a long history, through the mutual integration, infiltration and struggle of Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism and other religious cultures and martial arts cultures in Mount Emei, it gathered Buddhist and Taoist martial arts, both Buddhist Zen and Taoist qigong. "Emei martial arts" advocates the use of feet and hands, elbow methods in close proximity, falling and sticking to the body, and there is a saying that "feet are like drunken men, hands are like electricity, head is like waves, and body is like willows".

In light rainy weather, we didn't walk, but went directly to the scenic spot to go up the mountain, and then took the two-level ropeway to the top.

Along the way, wild monkeys appear, sometimes disturbing tourists, sometimes lively and naughty and cute.

Mount Rigi This

stone is a stone from the Swiss Mount Rigi. In 2009, Mount Emei and Mount Rigi in Switzerland agreed to form the two mountains as friendly sister mountains, and at the same time, Mount Emei was placed on the top of Mount Rigi in Switzerland, symbolizing Sino-Swiss friendship.

The

more you climb to the top, the heavier the fog, and the two sides of the road are decorated with white elephants, which are the mounts of the Bodhisattva of Puxian and the six-tusked white elephant.

the statue of the Bodhisattva in all directions The bronze cast gilded craft Buddha statue is 48 meters high and weighs 660 tons, consisting of a pedestal and a statue of the ten directions on all sides. Among them, the pedestal is 6 meters high, 27 meters long and wide, engraved with ten vast vows of Puxian on all sides, and the exterior is decorated with granite reliefs, and the statue of the Ten Directions Puxian is 42 meters high and weighs 350 tons. It comes from the Buddhist scriptures "forty-eight vows to save sentient beings", which means Amitabha Buddha's forty-eight great vows to liberate all sentient beings.

After going down the mountain, I went to the Xiangcheng Grand Theater to watch a performance called "Icon Emei".

"Holy Elephant Emei" is a wonderful performance that shows the beauty, majesty and cultural taste of Mount Emei. There are not only technical performances with strong local characteristics, but also Sichuan's unique folk customs. The performance lasts 90 minutes and consists of seven parts: "illusion, elegance, spirituality, Shu, rigidity, dream, and Zen". Among them, the fifth "Emei Mountain Martial Arts Gang" is an Emei martial arts display that combines rigidity and softness, both internal and external, and has been listed as the three major schools of Chinese martial arts along with Shaolin and Wudang since ancient times, reflecting the 2,500-year cultural accumulation of Emei Mountain, which is eye-opening.

Leshan Giant Buddha, also known as Lingyun Giant Buddha, has been verified to be the real original name of the Great Maitreya Stone Statue of Lingyun Temple in Jiazhou. It is located on the side of Lingyun Temple on the east bank of the Nanmin River in Leshan City, Sichuan Province. The Big Buddha is a seated statue of Maitreya Buddha, with a total height of 71 meters, and is the largest cliff carving statue in China.

The ancient Leshan was located at the confluence of the three rivers, the Min River, the Qingyi River, and the Dadu River converged at the foot of Lingyun Mountain, and the water was quite fierce, and the boats were often subverted here. Whenever there is a summer flood, the river water rushes straight to the mountain wall, often causing the tragedy of ship destruction and death. In order to reduce the water potential and save all living beings, Zen Master Haitong initiated it, gathered manpower and material resources, carved mountains to build Buddhas, filled the river with stones, slowed down the water flow, and benefited both parties. The Buddha statue began to be built in the early years of Tang Xuanzong's Kaiyuan era (713 AD), and when the big Buddha was repaired to the shoulder, Monk Haitong died. After Haitong's death, the project was interrupted for a while. Many years later, Zhang Qiu Jianqiong, the governor of Jiannan Xichuan, donated his salary, and Haitong's apprentice led the craftsmen to continue to build the Great Buddha. When the Leshan Giant Buddha was repaired to the knee, the continuor Zhang Qiu Jianqiong moved his family to the Minister of Household Affairs, and the project was stopped again. Forty years later, Wei Gao, the governor of Jiannan Xichuan, donated his salary to continue the construction of the Leshan Giant Buddha. With the efforts of three generations of craftsmen, it took 90 years to complete it in the nineteenth year of Tang Dezong's Zhenyuan (803 AD).

the word "Buddha" inscribed by Su Shi.

Directly in front of you are the Dadu River and the Tsing Yi RiverThe water flowing together, the raging water passage between the right side of the picture and the building is the main road of the Minjiang River, and to the Big Buddha, the three rivers flow together.

After the three rivers flow together, they rush along the Minjiang River.

The

channel that spirals up the right side of the Buddha, some time ago, I saw the news that the upward passage of the stone wall has been permanently closed, and a new passage has been opened.

The well-known Leshan Giant Buddha at home and abroad Zhengying Mountain is a Buddha, and the Buddha is a mountain. We go down from the left side of the Buddha to the Buddha's feet, and then go up from the right side. The difference is that the left passage is basically inside the mountain, and the right passage is outside the mountain (as shown in the picture above).

Some tourists board the boat to look at it from afar, and it is another scene to worship the Buddha on the boat. The sky is gloomy, the water and sky are the same in the distance, the big Buddha is guarding here, why are you afraid of demons invading the border!

huge Buddha's feet, and people are shaped like ants below.

Buddha's head It is said that the top of the Buddha was originally covered by a roof.

Lingyun Temple Located on the top of Lingyun Mountain, it is also known as the Big Buddha Temple because it is the location of the Big Buddha. Founded in the Tang Dynasty, historical records show that Lingyun Temple existed before the excavation of the Giant Buddha, more than 1,300 years ago. When the Buddha statue was excavated in the early years of the Tang Dynasty, the temple was expanded. After wars, it was destroyed many times, and the existing Lingyun Temple was built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty.

the picture I found on the Internet to see a distant view.

This is a full picture of the reclining Buddha found on the Internet, it is said that a Cantonese person discovered it, and the whole mountain looks like a reclining Buddha from a distance, and the big Buddha is in his heart. I don't know if it's a coincidence or a deliberate design by the predecessors?

After the tour, return to Chengdu and continue to visit Chengdu's famous wide and narrow alleys.

The wide and narrow alleys are composed of wide alleys, narrow alleys, and well alleys arranged in parallel, all of which are antique courtyards with green and blue bricks and tiles, and are the ancient streets of the Qing Dynasty left over from Chengdu with a certain scale, and are known as the three major historical and cultural city protection blocks in Chengdu together with Daci Temple and Wenshu Monastery.

In the fifty-seventh year of Kangxi (1718), after quelling the Dzungar Rebellion, more than 1,000 soldiers were selected to garrison Chengdu, and the city was built on the basis of the young city. After the fall of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, the city was no longer a forbidden area, and the people could come and go freely. It has formed a unique pattern of descendants of bannermen, dignitaries, and peddlers and pawns living in the city.

In the early years of the Republic of China, the city managers at that time changed "hutong" to "alley". In the thirty-seventh year of the Republic of China (1948), in an urban survey, legend has it that the staff at that time casually marked the wider alley as "wide alley" after measuring, the narrower one was the "narrow alley", and the one with a well was the "well alley".
Nowadays, the overall spatial style of the renovated wide and narrow alleys is relatively complete, continuing the style of western Sichuan houses in the Qing Dynasty, and the street belongs to the northern hutong streets and alleys in shape: the "fish backbone" shaped road pattern, the building is integrated by the barracks dormitory and the western Sichuan folk houses, and the street spatial scale is defined by the buildings and courtyard walls on both sides, the wide alley is about 7 meters, the narrow alley is about 5 meters, and the buildings along the street are one to two floors, and the height is also 5 to 8 meters.

For me, this is my second time here.

Wide Alley: A nostalgic area with an old face, named Xingren Hutong during the Xuantong period of the Qing Dynasty. Most of them are buildings from the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, as well as some Western-style buildings left by churches.

Kuan Alley is a "leisure life" area and a reproduction of old Chengdu life. There is an old Chengdu life experience hall in the wide alley, where the terroir and old Chengdu folk customs are located.

narrow alley used to be called Taiping Hutong.

Narrow alley: A petty bourgeoisie favorite mood extension, this is the "slow life" area, showing the courtyard culture of old Chengdu, most of these courtyards are occupied by stylish bars and restaurants, is a variety of Western catering, light dining, coffee, art and leisure, healthy life halls, characteristic cultural theme stores as the theme of exquisite life taste area.

Jing Alley: A scene of old Chengdu in the market, called Ruyi Hutong or Mingde Hutong in the Qing Dynasty. After the Xinhai Revolution, it was renamed "Jing Alley". On the remaining half of the street, a 500-meter-long brick cultural wall and a 500-meter-long folk photo wall were built on the other side of the street.

After browsing, we found an Internet celebrity store------ Mom's hoof flowers, big pieces, and a feast.
