There is a Jade Buddha Hall dedicated to the 1.8-meter-high jade Buddha statue of Shakyamuni given by Fu Fengying, the sister of General Fu Zuoyi, in 1991. Although the temple is small, it is quiet and quiet. The forest outside the White Dragon Cave is called "Gudelin". It was planted by Zen Master Bechuan in the first year of Ming Longqing (1567 AD) with his disciples, including pine, cypress, fir and nan. When planting trees, recite the Lotus Sutra, word by word, count the trees according to the words, and plant a total of 69,777 trees. Decades of hard work have turned green trees into forests, thick shade shades the sun, and drizzle does not penetrate. In honor of his merits, later generations named it "Gudlin", and now some of them have been destroyed due to historical reasons, and the monks and nuns are actively restoring: On the hillside of Gudlin, there was originally a deep hole. According to legend, the white lady cultivated here and achieved positive results, so she went to West Lake with the green snake in the opposite valley, met Xu Xian, and performed a loveless love.
The White Dragon Temple is now organizing 10,000 lanterns for the universal sages, and the event will continue until everyone completes 10,000 lamps together. Each large oil lamp is 40 yuan

The jade Buddha in the temple is very similar to a jade Buddha in the Shanghai Jade Buddha Temple, and I admire the donation merit of General Fu's sister

Baoguo Temple, the seat of the Emei Mountain Buddhist Association. The nan trees around the temple here cover the sky, which is very elegant.
In front of the mountain gate, there is a pair of stone lions carved in the Ming Dynasty, with vivid shapes and majestic
shapes, like left and right gatekeepers, guarding this famous mountain treasure temple. On the mountain gate: The plaque of "Baoguo Temple" is the imperial inscription of the Kangxi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and the original name of this temple is "Huizongtang", which means the "three religions" of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. The temple enshrines the tablets represented by the "Three Religions" in Mount Emei: Buddhism is Puxian Bodhisattva, because Mount Emei is the Puxian Dojo; Taoism is Guang Chengzi, it is said that he is the incarnation of Li Laojun, who taught Taoism on Mount Emei; The representative of Confucianism is Chu Kuang.
According to the meaning of "serving the country and the lord's grace" in the Buddhist scriptures, the emperor gave the name "Baoguo Temple". The horizontal plaque "Illuminating the Zen Forest" and
"Universal Light" have the same meaning: Buddhism calls Mount Emei "Great Bright Mountain", with magical Buddha light appearing during the day and ten thousand holy lamps coming to pay homage at night, and the whole Mount Emei is illuminated by light. The first hall is the Maitreya Hall, and the couplet on the door is: "Look at his white belly and happy face, but he is originally a bodhisattva; May you clear your mind and worry so that you can see the auspicious light of the golden dome. Please look at this couplet again: "Laugh when you open your mouth, laugh at the past and laugh at the present, and laugh at everything; The big belly can accommodate the heavens and the earth, and it can be tolerated by anyone. This is a portrait of Maitreya Bodhisattva, reflecting his character and highlighting his noble character of tolerance and generosity. The couplet has a deep philosophy, which enlightens people to be open-minded and tolerant of others.
The second hall of the Daxiong Treasure Hall, the hall enshrines the golden body of Shakyamuni, the three holy Buddha lords of Huayan, and the left and right Manjushri and Puxian. This couplet: "The autumn moon is clear, and the mountain wind and lion roar in the five nights; The Bodhisattva opens the road to enlightenment, and the thousand-year-old flowers and rain resemble the palace of the king. The left and right compartments of the hall are for eighteen Arhats. In the back niche is a solemn statue of Amitabha.
Climbing the stone steps is the third hall of the Seven Buddhas. Please take a look at this couplet first: "Merit crosses the Ganges, and the seven treasures are solemn in the world; The layered peaks soar into the sky, and the majestic and beautiful San'e are comparable to those of Kunlun.
The hall enshrines seven Buddhas, one in the middle is Shakyamuni Buddha, and the other six are past Buddhas, from right to left: Namo Detention Sun Buddha, Nanwu Nahammuni Buddha, Namo Kasyapa Buddha, Namo Visha Buddha, Namo Corpse Abandonment Buddha, Namo Vipa Corpse Buddha. The shaping process of these seven Buddhas adopts "yarn shaping", which is really exquisite in our country's ancient shaping art. The viewer was extremely impressed by his appearance and bowed down to worship! ! The seven Buddhas all sit cross-legged on the lotus platform, with a well-proportioned posture and solemnity, Shakyamuni Buddha makes a statement seal, and the hands of the other six Buddhas are placed on their backs in front of their abdomen, their right hands are placed on their left hands, and the fingertips of the two thumbs are connected. This kind of mudra means "meditation" and stabilizes the mind, which is called "Dharma Definition Seal". Postures, gestures, and facial expressions all reflect the Buddha's wisdom, personality, and morality that are perfect and supreme.
When I entered, it was already night, and the hall was not closed, so I could kowtow to my heart's content on the floor, and the solemn and compassionate figures of the Seven Buddhas made me keep bowing!
As the Zen couplet said: "The tree of enlightenment blooms ephemeral, and the Buddhas of the three generations, the light of kindness shines on the other side of the world; Emei long spiritual buds, seven Tathagatas, pity and receive hundreds of millions of sentient beings to achieve Bodhi. On the left wall, there are also four wooden screens of Huang Tingjian's "Seven Buddha Verses". On the left wall hangs a plaque written by Chiang Kai-shek in Emei in 1935. Behind the Seven Buddha Halls, there are group statues of Guanyin Bodhisattva. Guanyin Bodhisattva stands on the lotus leaves on the left and right of the good fortune and the dragon girl. The four heavenly kings and stories such as "Arhat Fuhu" and "Dandelion Gathering" are depicted, and the highest point is the "Tang monk master and apprentice taking scriptures". There is also a niche on the right side of the group statue, which enshrines the Medicine Buddha sitting lotus statue carved from white jade. When he became a Buddha, he made twelve vows, wishing to eliminate the suffering of all sentient beings, cure the chronic diseases of ignorance, and make all sentient beings physically and mentally happy.
The last hall is the Puxian Hall. The door of the temple reads: "The solemnity of golden corn is the residence of the Bodhisattva; The ephemeral flowers shine brightly on Chenazi's love. There is also a couplet: "Puji is affectionate, may the king be merciful, and seek the wonderful truth of Emei; The virtue is immeasurable, all beings look up to it, and the spirit is empty and realizes the Zen mind. "Namo Daxing Puxian Bodhisattva!!

After sighing, we decided to take the ride at only four o'clock, and hurry up to finish the two monasteries including Fuhu Temple, which can also put a successful end to our trip to Mount Emei. Although it is basically flat now, after walking every day for a week, this section of road that is only 2 miles feels long!
You can see pedestrians walking together everywhere on the road, it seems that there are a lot of people coming from the city of Emei, they are also blessings, reincarnated in this blessed land, want to escape the heat, take a one-yuan bus to the line~ The roadside is a stream, many people come to have a picnic with food, play and make troubles, troubles and sorrows are really not found in this place!
Fu "Huxi Jingshe", that is, Fuhu Temple, is grand in scale and is the largest temple in the mountain. The first hall in the temple, the Maitreya Hall, contains Maitreya statues, and the left and right wings are statues of the four heavenly kings. The second hall of Puxian Hall is dedicated to Puxian Bodhisattva. The third hall of the Daxiong Treasure Hall is dedicated to the three-body Buddha statue of Shakyamuni, the left niche is dedicated to Manjushri, and the right niche is dedicated to Puxian. Tiger Temple is a nun monastery and a Buddhist college of bhikshuni on Mount Emei. The Hall of Heavenly Kings, the main hall, is built with 500 Arhat Halls, and the "Huayan Copper Pagoda" of the former Shengji Temple was moved here. Outside the temple, there are two archways: one is called Fuhu Temple, and the other is Bujin Forest. Covered bridge three: tiger bath, tiger creek, tiger roar. The Puxian Hall and the Daxiong Hall form a large courtyard, surrounded by tall trees, because the mountains are surrounded by forest barriers, the air flow swirls, the roof is not seen all year round, the whole temple is dust-free, and the Kangxi Emperor once personally gave the book "Li Gu Garden". Not far from Fuhu Temple is Luofengling, whenever it is sunny, the light clouds are lightly wiped, forming a large landscape - "Luofeng Qingyun", which is one of the "Ten Views of Emei Mountain".
During theSouthern Song Dynasty, the wandering monks used secret spells to subdue the tiger and build a Zunsheng Building in that place, engraved with the Zunsheng Mantra and other secret mantras, and since then the tiger plague has been eliminated, and the Fuhu Temple got its name. During the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, the temple was destroyed, and the eminent monk Guanzhi came here to rebuild the temple and eliminate the tiger plague that started over, once they were walking in the wreckage of the temple, they met a tiger standing on the stone and looking at them, the great monk Guanzhi blocked everyone with his body, he thought that if there was danger, he would feed the tiger with his body at most, he slowly walked towards the tiger, the tiger saw that he did not mean to hurt, but looked like he wanted to ask for something, the master looked back, there were two seriously ill little tigers, dying, The great monk immediately applied the herbs he had with him, and fed them in his mouth, and after a while, the two little tigers eased up, and the big tiger licked them happily, licking the hands and feet of the master with gratitude. Finally, the tigers nodded gently to him, wagged their tails in thanks, and disappeared into the jungle, and the great monk's compassion inspired them, and since then there have been no tiger plagues here. The master spent most of his life here to re-establish the monastery, and established the first monk school in Mount Emei, called the "Academic Zen Hall", the master and the master Kewen personally taught and invited great virtues from all over the world to give lectures, which was the earliest prototype of the Buddhist academy in Mount Emei. After the master's death, the Dharma body has a strange aroma every day, and the white gas soars into the sky when Tupi is in the sky, and his spiritual pagoda is now in Hongzhu Mountain. There is also Jiang Chao, the first layman of Mount Emei, who is also buried here. Jiang Chao is also very legendary, when his mother was about to give birth, his grandmother dreamed of an old monk from Mount Emei coming to his house, so he gave birth to Jiang Chao, who made great contributions to Mount Emei all his life. Before his death, he wrote the last few words---- the first mountain of Aurora, which is still in front of the Cool Breeze Bridge of the temple, and many tourists like to take pictures,

We crossed the Langfang-style tiger bath bridge to Fuhu Temple --- Bujin Forest. Walking from Baoguo Temple to here, the scene outside the mountain disappeared instantly, and it felt particularly cool and comfortable, no matter how hot the summer was, you could feel the shade of every village here. A forest here is built by the eminent monk Jiwan according to the numbers of the Lotus Sutra, and as soon as he walks into this woodland, all the restless hearts will be quiet, just like the Buddhist scriptures say that the garden of loneliness is full of golden sand
Fuhu Temple, also known as the Dirt Garden, no matter what kind of dust does not fall on the roof of the temple, the wind is like a handful of goose feathers, blowing every corner of the roof, the whirlwind makes the roof of each Zen room in the temple dustless, once the Kangxi Emperor came here when he was looking for Yulin National Master and his father, and saw the scene here a little confused, but Master Wen replied to him like this----- This is not only a unique natural landscape of the temple, this is mainly the dust of the Bodhisattva Puxian Bodhisattva!!
Emperor Kangxi met with his father Shunzhi\Yulin Guoshi and other three people at night, but he could never catch up with them, and as soon as he called, they all disappeared. Kangxi finally understood the cause and effect and was no longer attached, so he quietly left that night after writing the three words "Dirty Garden". It can be heard that the Zen master carved the three words of Kangxi's handwritten imperial book into a plaque in purple gold and hung it above the main hall, which is still there today. Because the emperor was a private visit, he did not write the signature
Before going to Mount Emei, I read a lot of great virtue stories about Mount Emei, and many legendary stories that happened in Fuhu Temple are really much more exciting than the plots in those TV movies, touching, and the soul is baptized and educated
We detoured around the Huayan Pagoda and explored the footprints of the ancient virtues, where every grass and tree, tile and soil made me feel that these great virtues were with us, inspired and inspired their spiritual trajectory, and let us continue to forge ahead
Around the Huayan Pagoda, we went to the 500 Arhat Hall, where the Arhats have different shapes and are vivid. I remembered the young bhikshuni Yanci who had just passed away a few years ago and made great contributions to Fuhu Temple, as well as the first bhikshuni of the monastery, Master Changqing, in 1956, Master Changqing waited for the arrival of Master Changqing, and there were Buddhist bhikshunis in Mount Emei. These thin bhikshunis farmed and chopped firewood on their own, and built a complete monastery through their efforts. The jungle was restored. The Buddhist chanting of Fuhu Temple is very good, famous far and wide, when applying for World Heritage in Mount Emei, the judges from various countries made high praise, leaving a very complete impression!

We worshipped at the Luohan Temple refreshed, but the two of us were not up to the task, we felt hungry, and we started to slander the temple's meals again, so we took a break and waited for the Five Views Hall to eat, and coincidentally met the grandfather and grandson who lived on the floor next door to the Golden Dome and the torpedo boat, the little girl was very delicate, and she endured hardships, the mountain road was all walked down, and she washed the dishes by herself, and she was also very serious when worshiping the Buddha, which really made me wonder if it was a reincarnation of an empty line, such a child mixed with such good perseverance. Her grandfather looks like an Arhat, which amazes us!! Xixi, open the meal, the food in the temple is so delicious, the two of us are like entering the communist canteen, eating enough, after washing the dishes by ourselves, we walk out satisfied, looking at the beautiful scenery, I really want to sit still, comfortable!!
Looking down aimlessly, I accidentally saw a couple walking up, but when I walked to the gate of the temple, I bent in the direction of Luofeng Monastery and the Incarnation Cave, and the woman also glanced at me, at this time I didn't know how to move, so I told the torpedo boat that we should go too, it seemed that it was not far on the map, originally when we came up, our legs were very heavy and we couldn't take a step, and finally walked to Fuhu Temple, and it seemed that the torpedo boat didn't seem to want to go, so I didn't propose to go in front of me, and now look at the couple , I rekindled my enthusiasm to go in and explore the seclusion, and the torpedo boat was also moved by me, and the departure line ~~~~ I
didn't expect to look at the map a little bit of the way, and the actual walk was still quite long, looking at the couple in front of me carrying a bag of things, I also thought about whether they went up to miss which great virtue they went, because I knew that all the great monks of the modern monasteries of Mount Emei were in the incarnation cave above and built a tower
They seemed to guide us the way, and finally arrived at Luofeng Monastery, hey, the couple actually came up to eat, they took out the contents of the bag and started eating, there was a dog there we called him Xiao Hei, the baby began to slander him, and kept going around the couple, no matter how the old uncle in the monastery taught it, after the child was called back, he couldn't help but run there to eat for a while, it was so fun that dog~~~~
The "Three Saints of the West" are reshaped in the nunnery, namely Amitabha, Guanyin Bodhisattva and Dashi Zhi Bodhisattva. Behind the monastery is the "Putong Pagoda", which is the place where the ashes left by the monks after their death are placed. Here is densely forested, there is Luofeng Ridge, and whenever it is sunny, there are light clouds to wipe it, forming a large landscape, so it is called "Luofeng Qingyun", which is one of the original "Ten Views of Emei Mountain".
This temple is the quiet room of Fuhu Temple, and now there was a quiet room called "Longfeng Huitang" on the Tiger Spring, which was a place for retreat practice. In the spring of 1672 AD, Jiang Chao, the historian of the Qing Dynasty, came here to practice quietly and changed his name to Luofeng Monastery. Jiang Chao once lived here and wrote the 22-volume, 120,000-word "Chronicle of Mount Emei". The small nunnery is surrounded by thousands of bamboo poles, thousands of trees, and when the weather is clear, the white clouds are full of white clouds, which is a good place for cleanliness
This place is extremely elegant, no wonder this couple came here, there are no tourists, and there is only one master and a Dharma protector in the monastery. There is also a lively little black who plays by himself, when his mouth is dry, he goes to the faucet to turn on the water and drinks a few sips of this natural mineral water, how comfortable!
I looked around curiously, and saw that there seemed to be a building on the mountain behind the left side of the temple, and I asked the master what it was, and the master said it was the Putong Pagoda and the Dade Tupi Cave. We immediately got up and went to the !!
So many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas incarnated as great virtues above do not go to worship, so much regret! ! Climbing up the mountain road, it seems that there are not many people here, so the mountain road is covered with moss, so I walk carefully. On the first floor is a Haihui Pagoda, where the ashes of many laymen are placed, Nanwu Amitabha! Being able to be placed in a holy place is really a blessing for those laymen who have cultivated, and they are amazed! ! I smoked incense, and this time I went to Mount Emei and brought a lot of packs of incense, one of which was a refreshing aroma of Bai Shu brought back from Tibet, which I particularly liked, and I am ready to dedicate this good incense to the great virtues I respect!
Walking up from the Haihui Tower, it is the spiritual pagoda of the great monk above the abbot in the mountain in modern times, and the three words "Putong Pagoda" were written by the late Master Panneng. There are at least dozens of towers, and after we offer incense, we go around to worship and chant vows as offerings to express our gratitude and reverence for all the eminent monks and great virtues of the past dynasties.I recited all the vows I could think of, and I couldn't help but cry again, and somehow as soon as I arrived at these holy places, I was like a lost child seeing a relative, and my heart softened, and I presented myself in front of my relatives, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas without any pretentiousness!!
After worshiping the tower, we continued to go up, and the top was the incarnation cave set up on the hillside behind Luofeng Monastery. This is the place where all the great monks perform their dabbies after their deaths, and the front side reads: Incarnation Relic The left side reads "No Birth Forbearance" The right side reads "Always Pure My Happiness" Standing in this silent place where the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas manifest Nirvana, I feel a little sad, respectfully lighting our incense clouds by the cave, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas do not come and go, in order to save sentient beings and manifest Nirvana, "If the Buddhas want to show Nirvana, I sincerely advise all sentient beings to stay in the dust and happiness for a long time" and the torpedo boat sang loudly here, and the voice echoed in the valley... The great virtues, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, look at us .....
Just when we were full of ** and full of emotion, Xiao Hei, the baby, came up, wagging his tail, jumping, playing with the mud on the ground alone, we were amused by him! ! We think this child is actually quite sensible, he seems to be playing, and he actually knows how to care about people, seeing the two of us go up for so long, he comes up to take a look, he doesn't provoke us, he just plays by himself, but as soon as we go down, the doll also goes down, what a good little black, a little protector!!
It's quite late to return to the monastery, we walk around the temple, trying to keep everything in our hearts, the pilgrimage to Mount Emei is coming to an end, there is too much reluctance in the psychology, why is time so flying~~~~~
Thenext day we got up, after we made some arrangements, we hurried to the main hall that was too late to be gilded yesterday, fortunately, this hall was opened early, and the girls inside were very dutiful and cleaned inside. Lamps are lit, water is provided, and all the solemnity makes people feel happy~~~
This hall enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha, Manjushri, Guanyin, Puxian Bodhisattva, Buddha and Bodhisattva have a lot of gold pasted on their bodies, and Buddhist disciples from all over the country have planted immeasurable fields of blessings here~~
The gold paste here can be pasted by yourself, 50 yuan each, eight small sheets of gold leaf, the little protector patiently told us the gilding skills, and then on behalf of all the senior brothers, we happily and respectfully pasted our pious offerings in the places that many gilders ignored, many people only like to stick gold on their faces and some eye-catching places, or although they are pasted, but because of the tight time and other reasons, the gold leaf is not pasted well, and some are still turned over, the female protector girl said, how can you be in a hurry to do merit, horses and horses, what a pity! Yes, it's a pity, I and the torpedo boat did a lot of repair work for a while, in fact, as long as you master the skills and wipe it back, the flipped gold leaf will immediately be delicately attached to the Buddha statue, and it will be shining brightly, which makes people very happy!!
I hope that all the merits of this pilgrimage can be added to all sentient beings, so that they will become the cause of liberation for all sentient beings and the food for their achievements!! Nanwu Daxing Puxian Bodhisattva Mahasattva!!
After the gold paste and the last bow, we set off to the bus station and took a car to Chengdu to complete our pilgrimage to Wenshu Monastery and Zhaojue Temple !!
