Wuxiang Temple is located in Wuxiang Mountain National Forest Park in the Chengnan New Area of ​​Lishui District, Nanjing. Surrounding the temple are a number of historical sites, including the garrison of Du Fuwei, a general in the peasant uprising army during the late Sui Dynasty; the stone pagoda containing the bones of the Song Dynasty monk Zhen Gong; the Stone Guanyin Cave; the Zhaoyun Pavilion from the Yuan Dynasty; the "Fengquan," "Dan Ding," and "Wuzun Inscription" inscribed by Ming Dynasty magistrate Wang Congshan; the Stone Guanyin Pavilion, the Huancui Pavilion, and the Fengquan Pavilion.

Wuxiangshan National Forest Park is located in hilly terrain, with an average elevation of approximately 100 meters. Its main peak, Wuxiangshan, reaches a peak elevation of 210 meters. The park boasts more than 10 ponds and dams, including the Wuxiangsi Reservoir, Nüren Reservoir, Banshan Reservoir, Shengcun Reservoir, Maojiashan Reservoir, Tianchi Lake, and Xishatang.

On January 9, 2015, the State Forestry Administration issued an administrative licensing decision, approving the establishment of Wuxiangshan National Forest Park, named "Nanjing Wuxiangshan National Forest Park", marking that Wuxiangshan Forest Park officially became the first national forest park in Lishui District, and entered a new historic construction stage.

The Wuxiang Temple Resort, currently under construction, spans over 800 hectares.
