Zhongshan Academy, located within the Purple Mountain and Zhongshan Scenic Area in Nanjing's Xuanwu District, was completed in November 1994. It is primarily dedicated to academic research and cultural exchange in commemoration of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. The two-story, palace-style academy, facing south, features double eaves and flying corners, red pillars, white walls, and green tiles. The academy covers over 2,800 square meters and is surrounded by lawns planted with a variety of plants, including osmanthus, camellia, plum blossoms, cypress, magnolia, and cedar, creating a tranquil and elegant environment.
A bust of Dr. Sun Yat-sen stands in the center of the first floor. The West Hall displays various editions of Sun Yat-sen's works, academic works on Sun Yat-sen, and books and periodicals on Sun Yat-sen's history and history. Large photographs of Sun Yat-sen from various eras hang on the walls. The East Hall showcases exquisite calligraphy and paintings from the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum collection.
