The Qu Qiubai Memorial Hall, located next to Qu Qiubai's former residence, is the only memorial hall for a person in Changzhou that is a key cultural relic protection unit in China. It is also the only professional museum in China that comprehensively collects, displays and showcases Comrade Qu Qiubai's achievements, studies Qu Qiubai's thoughts, and promotes Qu Qiubai's spirit.
The memorial hall is a two-story, quadrangle-style, imitation-classical building with whitewashed walls and black tiles, and a bright courtyard. The name of the hall, inscribed horizontally above the door, was personally written by Comrade Deng Xiaoping in 1985. Symmetrically inlaid on the walls on either side of the door are bronze sculptures, each symmetrically inlaid with a simple, solemn, and lifelike quality.
The main image on the right is of Qu Qiubai and Lenin, focusing on Qu Qiubai as a revolutionary, theorist, and propagandist. The main image on the left is of Qu Qiubai and Lu Xun, focusing on Qu Qiubai as a writer, translator, and cultural leader.
