Gaojing Garden, located on the Chengzhong River in downtown Liyang , is surrounded by water and connected to the mainland by bridges. The park's layout evokes the characteristics of Suzhou gardens, with lush trees, ponds, rockery, pavilions, and corridors arranged in a well-organized pattern. It also includes attractions such as Jindou Garden, the Peony Pavilion, the Wanxiang Pavilion, the Qinglai Thatched Cottage, and a zoo.

Of particular historical significance is the Taibai Tower, built on a high pier. The Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai visited Liyang three times. In 756 AD , during a farewell banquet with Zhang Xu, the master of cursive script, at a Liyang restaurant, Li Bai composed "The March of the Tiger." Inside the tower, a full-length statue of Li Bai recreates the poet's spirit, swaying in the wind, drinking wine and singing passionately and tragically.
