Introducing Pearl Spring Scenic Area

Nanjing Pearl Spring Scenic Area is located at the southwestern foot of Dingshan Mountain in Pukou District, Nanjing. It has green mountains, beautiful waters, unique springs, and beautiful stones. It has beautiful scenery and an excellent ecological environment. It was famous throughout the country as the "No. 1 tourist destination in Jiangbei" during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The hills of the district, part of the eastern extension of Laoshan Mountain, are undulating and winding. Composed primarily of dolomite and limestone, they feature jagged rocks and towering peaks. Miaogaofeng, Shizi Peak, and Furong Peak stand tall in the north, with Miaogaofeng, the highest peak, at 255 meters. Surrounded by lush forests, the area is surrounded by deep, steep valleys, rippling clear waters, springs that follow the shadows of the clouds, and a myriad of pearls, creating a picturesque and charming scene. The area is renowned for its picturesque mountains, beautiful rocks, stunning waters, and unique springs.

"Gazing at the flowing water of Mirror Lake from afar, one would be unaware of the Pearl Spring hidden among the cliffs." Pearl Spring, nestled beneath an unassuming cliff face, boasts a world-renowned "One Spring, Three Scenes." Water gushes forth from fissures in the limestone at the bottom of the pool, its bubbles resembling pearls, forming strings of round, crystalline, and continuous streams. The crystal-clear water, the shimmering, round bubbles, and the dynamic, upward surge of the water resemble a golden dragon spitting pearls, a fairy clam offering treasures, or a fairy whispering. Visitors observe and listen with rapt attention, creating an indescribable scene. Hence the name "Pearl Spring."
