Qingkou Ecological Park is located on the south bank of Qingkou River, east of Huancheng West Road, covering a total area of 28 hectares. The first phase of the project covers an area of 18 hectares. It is the largest ecological comprehensive park in Ganyu County that has attracted social capital to participate in its construction.
To optimize the overall greening structure of the urban area and increase the amount of green space, Ganyu County built its first forest park on the east side of National Highway 204, nestled along the Qingkou River. After an intense construction period during the rainy season, the ecological park has been successfully completed and opened.
The park, with a total investment of 140 million yuan, includes the Chengxi Ecological Park, which covers over 370 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) and boasts a green coverage rate of 73.6%. Upon completion, the park will directly benefit 50,000 nearby households. Themed "Green, Healthy, and Leisure," the park leverages the surrounding water system and landforms to create a modern ecological park characterized by the symbiosis of mountains, lakes, water, forests, and grasslands. Open to the public free of charge, the park is designed to be "green, healthy, and leisurely."
The temperate monsoon climate boasts distinct four seasons. The completion of Qingkou Ecological Park not only addresses the old city's paucity of green space, limited activity areas, and limited exercise venues, filling the gap left by the lack of a modern, ecological, and comprehensive park, but also further stimulates development in the western part of the county and accelerates the pace of construction in the old city. The park, complementing the new city's Citizen Square and Seaside Park, plays a crucial role in creating a green Ganyu, refreshing the city's image, enhancing its quality, and improving the living environment in the old city. It's a perfect place for travel in all seasons.
There are eight scenic spots in Qingkou Ecological Park: including Floating Sea View, Sunset in the Ancient City, Ink-fragrant Mountain Shadow, etc. Mountains, rocks, lakes, water, forests, grass, and sketches are arranged in a staggered manner, and the scenery changes with every step. It integrates leisure, fitness, viewing, and entertainment, fully highlighting the coastal characteristics of Ganyu, providing urban and rural residents with a fresh and pleasant leisure place, and satisfying people's call for green and the pursuit of sustainable urban development.

The park is located in Lianyungang, Jiangsu. You can take a taxi or public bus to the park from the city center. It's about a 20-minute drive from the main area of Lianyungang. Walking from the city center is not recommended due to the distance.
The park is open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The best time to visit is in the early morning or late afternoon when the weather is cooler, and the park is less crowded.
The entrance fee is approximately 30 RMB per person. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance or online in advance during peak seasons.
Booking tickets in advance is not mandatory, but it’s recommended during public holidays or weekends. A day or two in advance should be sufficient.
You can explore the park in about 2 to 3 hours, which is enough time to visit the main attractions, enjoy the walking trails, and relax by the water.
