The Lianyungang Revolutionary Memorial Hall is a large-scale patriotic education base that Jiangsu Province and Lianyungang City have devoted great efforts to developing. The Exhibition Art Institute of the Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Qingshang Company were responsible for the design and exhibition layout of the Lianyungang Revolutionary Memorial Hall.
The new museum covers 37.5 mu (approximately 16 acres) and has an exhibition area of 15,000 square meters. Its main exhibits include "The History of Lianyungang's Revolutionary Struggle" and "Lianyungang during the Period of Socialist Construction." The reconstructed Longhai Apartment complex features exhibition rooms with photos of Gu Mu, Wan Yi, Zhang Wenhai, and Li Xin, as well as a re-creation of the scene where Wan Yi joined the Party.
The museum's primary exhibit, "The History of Revolutionary Struggles in Lianyungang," showcases the historic achievements of the Lianyungang Party, the revolutionary regime, and the People's Army during the period of the democratic revolution. The enduring achievements of revolutionary pioneers will be permanently on display here. The exhibition was grandly unveiled on July 1, 2011, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. In 2013, the Lianyungang Revolution Memorial Hall was approved as a national 4A-level tourist attraction.

The permanent fixed exhibition of Lianyungang Revolutionary Memorial Hall is located on the second and third floors of the new hall, and is divided into two parts: "History of Revolutionary Struggle in Lianyungang" and "Lianyungang during the Period of Socialist Construction".
