Chapingtan, nestled in a mountain forest at an altitude of over 500 meters, is a small village in Tuochuan Township, Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province. Founded by villagers surnamed Cha, the village boasts towering ancient trees, pleasant scenery, and a beautiful environment, earning it the nickname "Heavenly Home" by many photography enthusiasts.
The county is located in the mid-subtropics and has the characteristics of the East Asian monsoon zone. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, a short frost period, and distinct four seasons.
The misty sea of clouds, the scattered pear and peach blossoms among the black walls and white tiles, and the curling smoke rising with the spring breeze can truly make visitors feel like they are in a fairyland. "Dense and green mountains flank the banks; the spring stream flows silently. A paddle across the misty waves reveals its destination; crows and doves cry from opposite mountains." These are the famous lines from Zhu Xi's poem about the Wuyuan landscape.
