
Longwei Village, located in Xitou Township, Wuyuan County, is a relatively old village that still retains many ancient Hui-style buildings. It is said to be the source of the stone for the Longwei Inkstone, one of the four famous inkstones.
The county is located in the mid-subtropics and has the characteristics of the East Asian monsoon zone. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, a short frost period, and distinct four seasons.

Longwei Village is known for its well-preserved traditional architecture and cultural heritage. The village reflects Jiangxi’s rural history, local customs, and the development of tea cultivation in the region.
Located in Shangrao, Jiangxi province. Visitors can take a taxi or local bus from Shangrao city center. Walking within the village is the best way to explore its streets and scenic spots.
The village is open year-round. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit for pleasant weather and vibrant natural scenery.
There is generally no entrance fee to visit Longwei Village. Some nearby attractions or tea farms may charge a small fee, payable on-site.
Advance booking is not required for the village itself. For guided tours or special activities at tea farms, booking 1–2 days in advance is recommended.
2–4 hours are sufficient to explore the village and nearby scenic spots.
Guided tours may be arranged through local operators, usually in Chinese. English-speaking guides may be available on request.
