The Wuyuan side of the mountain is home to the famous ancient village of Youshan. Standing 675 meters above sea level, Fengyou Mountain dominates the surrounding hills and is a renowned religious mountain. Legend has it that a colorful phoenix, migrating from the east, arrived here, giving it its name. On the mountain stands Jingyin Temple, once a large and prosperous temple. The existing temple is a remnant of its former glory, with only a few lay Buddhists remaining to protect the Dharma.
