Located in the middle section of Lotte Avenue in downtown Weinan, the Weinan Museum is a major public welfare project approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and a key project designated by the Weinan Municipal Party Committee and Government. Planning for the project began in early 2009, and after more than seven years of intense construction and preparation, it officially opened to the public free of charge in February 2016.
