Jiajing Island is an uninhabited island located in Shimei Bay, south of Xinglong Overseas Chinese Farm in Wanning City, eastern Hainan Province. It remains largely undeveloped, boasting crystal-clear waters teeming with starfish, sea cucumbers, and living corals. The island's winding, rocky south coast offers excellent fishing opportunities. Wading atop the coral reefs allows for shellfishing, crabbing, and watching fish. There's no dock on Jiajing Island; landing is on the beach, which can be used for camping. However, please note that there are no dining facilities on the island, so it's best to bring your own water and food.
The east side of the island is lined with strange rocks and lush forests, forming a tripod-like shape, surrounded by waves, which is extremely spectacular; while the other west side of the island is a quiet beach with white sand as soft as powder. The beach on the island shifts with the seasons, so some people call it the "Spirit Island" or the "Survival Island".
Tropical monsoon oceanic climate, there may be more rainfall in summer and autumn, so it is best to avoid the rainy season when traveling

Kaijima, part of Wanning City in Hainan, is a small island known for its natural beauty. It has become a peaceful getaway for travelers looking to enjoy Hainan's stunning coastlines, clear waters, and rich marine life.
Kaijima is located off the coast of Wanning City in Hainan, China. The island is accessible by boat from Wanning or nearby towns. Visitors typically reach Wanning by bus or taxi from Sanya, and then take a ferry or private boat to Kaijima.
Kaijima is a natural destination without specific opening hours, but the best time to visit is from April to October, when the weather is warm and conducive for beach activities, snorkeling, and diving.
There is no formal entrance fee to visit Kaijima, but transportation (boat ride) may have a fee. Tickets for the boat can be purchased offline through local agencies in Wanning or Sanya.
Booking the boat tickets in advance is recommended, especially during peak travel seasons. A week in advance is typically sufficient to secure a spot.
It takes around half a day to explore Kaijima, with time to enjoy the beach, visit the lighthouse, and experience local seafood and natural scenery. A full day can be spent relaxing or taking part in water activities.
Guided tours are available through local operators and are typically offered in Mandarin. English-speaking guides may be available upon request, but it's best to confirm in advance.
Start your day with a visit to the lighthouse for the best views, followed by a relaxing time at the beach. After lunch, take a boat ride around the island or explore the reefs for some snorkeling or diving.
Night visits are not common, as the island mainly caters to daytime tourism. The focus is on beach activities and exploring during daylight hours.
Kaijima is relatively less crowded compared to other tourist spots in Hainan. To avoid crowds, visit during weekdays or outside peak holiday seasons (avoid Chinese New Year and summer holidays).
Kaijima is a natural island with uneven terrain, which may be challenging for elderly visitors or those with mobility issues. However, children can enjoy the beach, and visitors with limited mobility should check with local operators for specific arrangements.
Cash is recommended for small purchases, but mobile payments like WeChat Pay and Alipay are also widely accepted at most locations on the island.
Vegetarian and halal options may be limited on Kaijima itself, but some restaurants in Wanning City or Sanya can cater to these needs.
Small souvenir shops on the island offer local crafts, shells, and beach-themed items. The typical souvenirs include handmade jewelry, seashell products, and local snacks.
