
The Pottery Village is located north of Fuping County, relying on the ruins of the Tang Dingzhou Kiln. It is a cultural and custom experience scenic spot consisting of a quasi-three-star hotel, three exhibition halls, several pottery workshops and a thousand-acre orchard. Due to the rich clay resources nearby, the Pottery Village has a long history and culture. As early as the prosperous Tang Dynasty, it was the world-famous Holy Porcelain Official Kiln.
Fuping Ceramics Village is a member of the UNESCO International Academy of Ceramics in mainland China and the permanent venue for the International Academy of Ceramics' Journal Editors' Forum. The Fule International Ceramics Museum, nestled within a thousand-acre ecological orchard in Fuping Ceramics Village, Shaanxi Province, is the first ceramics museum complex in China dedicated to modern ceramics.
It has a warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate with distinct seasons: cold, warm, dry, and wet. Winters are cold, windy, foggy, and with little rain or snow; springs are warm, dry, windy, and changeable; summers are hot and rainy, with a prominent summer drought and frequent thunderstorms and strong winds; and autumns are cool, with a rapid drop in temperature and significant autumn rain.
