Dongling Park is located on Dongling Road, Dongling District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. It is the site of the Qing Fuling Mausoleum, a world cultural heritage site.
In 1929, the Fengtian Provincial Government developed the Qing Fuling Mausoleum into a park, and named it Dongling Park because it is located in the eastern part of the city.
The Dongling Park is backed by Tianzhu Mountain and faces Hunhe River. The terrain gradually rises from south to north. The mountains are winding, the buildings are magnificent, and the ancient style is evident. From south to north, it can be divided into three parts: Dahongmen Outer District, Shendao District, Fangcheng District, and Baocheng District.
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Dongling Park, which has gone through a hundred years of vicissitudes, has been carefully maintained. While taking various measures for protection and management, a number of scenic spots have been built near the mausoleum area, such as "Dragon Beach Fishing", "Forest Bathing", "Apricot Forest Spring Dawn", "Fragrant Grass and Clouds", "Dragon Tail Viewing Stream", "Imperial Spring", "Concubine Pine", "Divine Turtle", "Loyal Dog Saves Master" and so on.
Today, Dongling Park has become a tourist center with multiple functions including historical relics, garden scenery, tourism and vacation.
