Introducing Zhengjiawazi Bronze Dagger Tomb

The Zhengjiawazi Bronze Dagger Tomb is located in Zhengjiawazi Village, Yangshi Township, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. In recent years, a number of tombs from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period have been excavated here, and a large number of precious cultural relics have been unearthed. Zhengjiawazi has thus become famous from an unknown small village.

In 1958, 27 bronze artifacts including a bronze sword were unearthed for the first time in the north of Zhengjiawazi.

To protect the Zhengjiawazi Bronze Dagger Tomb Complex, the government funded the construction of a brick-concrete shed and exhibition hall in 1986. The hall is divided into two sections: the first houses a restored display of the Bronze Dagger Tomb Complex, and the second displays artifacts from the Bronze Dagger culture unearthed in the Shenyang area. It officially opened to the public in September 1987.

It was announced as a municipal cultural relic protection unit by the Shenyang Municipal People's Government in 1985, and as a provincial cultural relic protection unit by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government in 2003.
